About
In Monsters are Coming! gather what resources you can to defend an ever-moving city. Are you ready to take on a never-ending army of darkness in a tower-survivor, action-rogue-lite on wheels?
- Fortify: The city must endure! Choose from a selection of town halls, place towers and create your own builds to maximise destruction. Equip defensive structures to repel monsters from the gates and keep the city moving forward, else the darkness will consume you!
- Forage: Gather wood, stone and gold as a persistent, multi-tasking hero. You must constantly balance risk vs reward while fighting back endless armies of monsters. Stray from the beaten path to find richer rewards or keep heading due south towards the safety of shelter.
- Fight: Beat Bad-Ass bosses, improve your abilities, overcome environmental obstacles and take charge of special weaponry to continually adapt your strategies. Or see your city turned to ash!
You’re the last hope for humanity, but it’s a long road to the Ark.
- Build your city your way. Reach shelter and buy new districts from the city shop. Then strategically choose where to place them based on the needs of each run.
- Defend yourself. Choose from a variety of unique Town Halls, then add archery outposts, necromancer towers, and even fire-breathing dragons to protect it from the dangers beyond the walls.
- Unlock new possibilities: Find a build that works for you, keep upgrading and try to stay alive against increasingly powerful monsters the closer you get to the Ark!
- Keep the city stocked: Gather wood to keep the engines burning and increase tower efficiency, chisel stone to help repair and rebuild, and mine gold to expand your moving fortress of destruction.
- Never stop moving: Collect compasses at the end of each run and pay your attempts forward, making it easier for future cities to find their way to the Ark!
- Explore for bonuses: Look for hidden secrets in shelters and tackle side hordes to find richer, rarer rewards. Just make sure you get back to your city in time!
- Progress to Prevail: Level up, increase your potential through vast player progression, and protect the city at all costs, even at the hero’s expense!
- The City Still Stands: Even if the Hero falls, it’s not game over! A run only ends once the city is destroyed, so quickly jump back into the fight before all hope is lost.
- Bad Ass Bosses: Getting to the Ark won’t be easy and there may be some larger monsters waiting for you at the periphery…

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ok. I spent $4 on this game. It is AMAZING. Thank you for making a PLAYABLE game that I actually want to KEEP PLAYING. I look forward to it! Different builds every run, unlockables, THERE'S A REASON TO PLAY. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the devs. It may not be a AAA game, but WHO CARES!? I want to play it! I bought the DLC as well - because IT'S WORTH IT!
4 hours into the base version of the game and I'm liking it a lot. A great game for relaxation with enough variety to keep you interested, and smooth gameplay. Well done, devs!
ich werde nicht warm mit dem spiel es ist mir zu langweilig

The Monsters are Coming, the monsters are coming! In this hybrid of a survivors-like and town building/defense game you need to escort your town hall along a hazardous path, defending it from swathes of monsters, collecting upgrades and weapons, as well as harvesting resources for your town and building it up for bonuses and defensive structures. The goal is simple, keep your town alive, and get it to the Ark at the end of the journey. One of the bigger strengths of this game is its amount of variation and things to unlock. With the base game alone there are 4 stages (With a hybrid mixed level) 10 different town halls that all have different rules and boons, as well as 6 (I think) different characters, each with their own weapons and bonuses. Then as you play, you have a large range of different weapons to further equip, buildings to upgrade your town, and relics and such to further build your run. Something that kept me the most engaged is that each level has challenges, and various buildings and such have differing unlock conditions. There are also different difficulties and around 10 challenges that also offer to adjust how you play and give you different goals. This gives you something to work towards with your runs as well as theory crafting which town hall and character would work best for succeeding. You also have a meta progression currency that can buff up various elements to make your runs easier. I will say, Endless is mostly unplayable unfortunately, even on my rig, as the framerate comes to a crawl so if you're looking for that, you should ideally hold off as they're working on optimising that aspect. All in all it's a solid game with more depth than your average game of this type. I do wish the enemies and levels were a bit more varied overall as it can feel a bit samey after you play a bit of it but overall I had a decent time with the game and it's got a roadmap of updates due so the game could grow into something great over time.
