simple and very addictive game 2D shoot em up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A8GC3UuWRE
3/10 (good but lacking) here is 3min of gameplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5_vUDMyaas ~ABOUT THIS GAME~ Game type-arcade/leader board top down shooter * kill everything on the board & collect power-ups * you get 3 lives to see how far you can get but then it's back to level 1. ~MY OPINION~ It's simple yet enjoyable. Each level has a few waves of enemies & each level gets steadily harder. It is arcade like so content is limited. (this is a ea title so i'll try to update this as updates come out. date of review is 9/9/15) If you like this review check out my steam group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Blinkdog
Follow my Steam Curator page for more reviews https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35705466 Monsters! is an adequately priced twin stick shooter from which I would have loved to see more. Unfortunately, I am a noob and I can't get pass the 4th level and you have to start from the beginning if you die. Despite being a very simple game, it offers a large variety of monsters, a few abilities and a single pool for your ammo (if it reaches 0 you can still shoot but upon contact with a monster you instantly die) and health which forces you to constantly move and collect souls in order to refill it. My only complaint is the lack of level selection.
我希望路过的朋友都能给我一个礼物,我太需要这sb点数换动态头像了
A magic man is stuck in a room with slimes, more slimes keep appearing, shoot all the slimes with magic. The more slimes you kill the bigger your score, and powerups appear to help too. Quite tricky. https://youtu.be/ePyJSP6G430
yo man this game is mad tight dawg. at first i was like, this game cant be that cool, but then i was like damn this game is cool. if you got a spare 2.49 laying around, pop that in your disc drive and buy this game. 2 thumbs up and wet kiss from this guy.
Monsters! is a bullet-hell game where you play as a wizard and shoot magical orbs at aliens. Pros: -Pixel Art is decent -Gameplay is fun -Beating Highscores is addictive Cons: -No original game soundtrack, or soundtrack at all -The game feels empty because it has no music -No level selection -Keybinding for keyboard had no effect -Difficulty is too hard(I can't seem to get past level 1-5) -Small community As the game currently is, I can't recommend picking it up. It desperately needs a music soundtrack of some kind, and the game feels empty because of it. I want to like this game, I really do. But with only one level, Monsters! quickly becomes repetitive, and the game isn't engaging or varied enough to satisfy my hunger for bullet hell mania.
This is a nice little game, with a niche feling and more depth than it may look at first sight. Also I absolutely LOVE the music. A beautiful piece of dark medieval 8bit that gives me the chills everytime :) For some reason though, the music is set to off by default, and one have to manually go into settings to raise the volume. This is strange because the music is so good and it adds so much to the game while playing! Gameplay wise, you'll find a little bit a of micro resource management, as you'll eventually want to carefully choose when and where you fire instead of always blindly firing at everything. Firing consumes health, but defeated monsters have a good chance to drop a soul like object that will replenish it. Various power up will drop too and temporarily increase firepower. I you manage your health well, you can then withstand a few hits before dying, and you could virtually go on forever as your health will replenish each time you pick a collectible. Every monster has a different pattern and knowing them is the key to defeat them. I think this game could have been a huge hit if only it had a little more features like more characters or a more general progression and long-term objectives that would balance the harsh overall difficulty.
I've played this game a lot more than my Steam profile lets on. It's an addictive little twin-stick shooter that provides ridiculously high enjoyment to price at 99 cents. The game drops you right into the action - no narrative, no permanent upgrades, etc. Just one wizard against the world with a variety of weapon patterns to pick up in game - some better, some worse. Highly recommended time filler - plays great on Steam Deck.
