I will say that this game is not for everyone. In fact, there is a fair chance you might find its gameplay lacking, consider its graphics rudimentary or regard its scope as too limited. However, if you are open for narrative experiences which go beyond what you can find in titles that look similar at first glance, it might very well surprise you positively. For the sake of avoiding spoilers, there is only one advice I will provide: Pay. Close. Attention.
I was so sure I knew where this was going, and then it didn't, and it is a testament to the game that I truly don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe things aren't one way or the other.
Monster Girl Therapy is a great character study about a bunch of monster girls trapped in a soon-to-be shut down video game. Help them out of their digital prison! The strongest point about this game is cleary its clever writing filled with humour and wits. These characters grow on you like no other. Who would have thought that monsters can be this human?? The occasional minigames are fun and integrated into the plot in smart ways. With its runtime of roughly 5 hours nothing overstays its welcome here. The pacing is perfect and has just the right length. For this price an absolute steal, get it!
Very cute game, I really like characters, story and dialogues. I'm not much into retro games, but this one has quite some charme - and a fan will probably have even more fun.
Very nice game, really nostalgic. I like the deep conversations with the characters and the many secrets, there is so much to find both in conversation and exploring.
Nice short RPGMaker game with fun dialogue and interesting, good message to the players. Certainly recommended!
A very sweet tribute to old (abandoned) RPGs and what happened to their quests and characters. It has great dialogues and has intriguing characters that surprisingly subvert your expectations about them. The story is really sweet and the retro minigames feel right at home within the "old game" aesthetic. If you’ve ever felt a bit of nostalgia for an abandoned MMO, this is a must-play. ... snake girl best girl btw.
An interesting game about understanding monster girls. The gameplay is mostly mini games to understand the individual girls better and to earn their trust. The game is carried by the story the and characters, as well as the adorable pixel character portrait of the Madame. Each girl quest is quite short, but there is a number of monster girls to explore.
A game that not only tickles my itch to draw fanart of the character cast, but also my urge to *think*. Isn't that crazy? I had a lot of fun in the ~4h that it took me to finish (not complete) Monster Girl Therapy. I am not really into visual novels which makes me always a little hesitant when it comes to dialogue heavy games. Not playing it in one sitting was the right thing to do, so I could enjoy the characters in their full glory (I am a Madame ultra ♥). I will come back for the 100% ;3
Thank's very much for the game. It's very funny talking to the girls and playing their quests. I also like the artstyle of the game. I recommend it to every fan of the genre. :)
