Monorail Stories

A short but replayable little story, great pixel art, and fully voiced (kinda rare in indie point & clicks!). I had fun searching for all the endings, and yet still feel like there's more to find out. Oh, and you can pet cats :3

I really like this game. I have played through it about 10 times, because although it takes less than an hour to beat, I am now enjoying trying to unlock all the different achievements and endings. I read that the game was a kickstarter project, and I have to congratulate the developers on making a great, well rounded and polished game. The pixel graphics are great. I bought the soundtrack because it was excellent. The story is simple but good, and I feel emotionally attached to the characters. I am considering naming my next child Silvie!

I thought it had potential as a multiplayer game but when playing with a friend it was less interesting and more difficult to figure out what we were supposed to do. It's a slow game and probably best for solo play when a player wants to kill time or relax. The mini-game at the platform held more excitement for both of us playing.

Es difícil explicar lo malo que es este juego. Toda mi vida ame los juegos de aventura gráfica (empecé con el Monkey 1). Siempre a la espera de alguna nueva historia, bien contada, con puzzles divertidos, nuevas mecánicas. La historia de Monorail Stories es pésima. Pero no solo pésima porque es excesivamente simple, sino porque en el medio, queriendo ser inclusivo, termina siendo recontra racista y lleno de estereotipos (juego en donde se evidencia claramente que el que lo hizo es alguien de cierto país que todxs conocemos y que saben nada de otras culturas). Encima, esta horriblemente contada. Es monótona, los personajes tienen cero construcción, los diálogos, LOS DIÁLOGOS, que espanto. Imagínense que siempre te da entre una, dos y tres alternativas que son tan malas que la verdad te termina importando poco lo que elegís. Pero pensarán, "los puzzles y mecánicas son buenos al menos". Obviamente se equivoca. Bueno, a menos que les guste solamente caminar (lento) de izquierda a derecha, saber en menos de medio segundo que tienen que hacer, en toda la historia recoger 4 items que no es que tenes que pensar mucho que hacer con ellos. Si hicieran una guía de este juego sería de un párrafo. Eso si, TIENE UN MONTÓN DE FINALES. Que después de ver (hacer) el primero, te importa tres carajos pasar por todo ese martirio de nuevo para saber que otro hay y ponerte a ver si jugaste las suficientes pocas horas como para pedir el reembolso. Nunca escribo reseñas tan largas pero esto lo hago por el bien de la comunidad, ahorrense tiempo y plata.

uma historia curta com diversos finais diferentes, apenas explorar os diálogos e relações dos personagens, então faça varias vezes sem medo de errar. Com inglês bem básico vc consegue compreender muito bem o que esta acontecendo. É um bom jogo!

근데 철도가 저렇게 연결되는게 맞나..

Krátká a jednoduchá hra, ve které se chopíte role dvou postav Silvie a Ahmala, kteří nezávisle na sobě cestují nadzemkou. Hra se dá dokončit přibližně za hodinku, ale má několik konců, takže stojí za to si jí znovu zahrát. Gameplay spočívá v chození po nadzemce a řešení problémů cestujících. Jediným negativem vidím pomalou chůzi, která vás bude vskutku štvát pokud se pokusíte získat všechny konce. Příběh sice není nijak složitý, ale měl jsem i moment prozření, když jsem si uvědomil jednu ze zápletek, což bylo super. Druhým problémem je pak multiplayer. Pokud nemáte přátele nechcete hru streamovat na Twitchi, tak se spojení s náhodným hráčem asi nedočkáte. Naštěstí je tu možnost, že samotný developer vám přispěchá na pomoc, což je i způsob jak jsem multiplayer achievementy dostal já :D. Celkově hodnotím 6.5/10

Enjoyable game, cool idea. Good voice acting. The story has some weird bits, and there seem to be a bunch of branching options, looking forward to replay and maybe piece some more things together. One playthrough is short-ish (took us 2.9hrs), but it's still enough to build an interesting world and some interesting characters. Played co-op, one person has to wait during the other's "turn". There's a mini-game while you wait, or you can just wander around the beautiful station (with nothing to interact, just to look). If you're playing over voice with a friend they might tell you what's happening on their end (at least that's how we played). But not knowing what's happening for the other player and just waiting sound like an interesting experience as well, seeing that's kinda how the characters would experience things. Just expect some waiting. Imo not necessarily a negative thing, but matter of taste and preferences. (Difficult game to describe or rate, other than "I personally enjoyed it a lot". Not helpful for a review, but thanks to everyone involved for making a great game :)

一部不错的游戏，不用因为没有中文而感到为难，游戏英语词汇初中水平就可以阅读，加上这个游戏是全语音，每句话都有配音，游玩过程顺便可以练练听力。 游戏拥有超级多的的结局分支，我通关了五次都是不同结局，后续我看成就应该有十几个结局。
