There is just too much unnecessary dialogue! quite annoying but has not stopped me playing if it wasnt for those things then I would recommend the game. However the artwork is quite unique puzzles not bad good atmosphere. i only just recommend this game. I liked the story at first but then was disappointed when i found out what it was really about. I was not sure whether to recommend or not this was a hard descision
This review is based on about 15 minutes of gameplay and the rest from watching videos- but I would definitely check out the negative reviews on this because the voice acting and dialogue isn't the best. I do wish I had read more of the reviews. As of right now I did request a refund. I was kind of excited to try a new PNC adventure from Animation Arts since Secret Files 1 & 2 are in my top favorite PNC's to play. This game just wasn't for me I guess. I played about 15 minutes- the voice acting was bugging me so I decided to quit and go watch a video on the game on the game for a bit instead. The story is definitely a 'psychological' story than anything else.
Especially since the game starts with the MC waking up and talking to a psychiatrist/psychologist- keep that in mind because there's a reason for that.
What I will say is I'm not a huge Sci-Fi fan to begin with, but I will give some games a chance especially in the PNC genre. Animation Arts is a German company so they translated the game to English, and after watching some videos on the gameplay a lot of it didn't seem to translate properly, or some stuff just didn't seem to stick like it should've being translated from German to English. I don't know. The voice acting, it isn't horrendous but it isn't good, and the dialogue is kind of laughable should I say? It just doesn't sound the best at all. And in quite a few places the VA quality isn't good, which there's one right at the beginning of the game which is what made me quit and watch a video instead. The art for the most part was actually good for a darker setting. Though I will say from what little I played and what I watched, I can say the ending would've put me off from playing it again had I finished it in the first place.
Finally a game that reminds me of my childhood! Nice riddles and puzzles! Really enjoyed it!
The Sci-fi plot was actually quite solid. Unfortunatley, however, the story devolved into a tedious family therapy session, ruining the whole sci-fi survival experience. As for out-of-place characters like the husband, Mr. Anthony - I`d rather not say anything. It has nothing to do with story or game design decisions; thers`s more to it than that, sadly. But let´s leave it at that. 4 / 10 Points... rgr&out

Echt gutes Spiel. Spannend und futuristisch.
A good story is rare these days. And this game has one. Even comes with an unexpected twist. The puzzles aren't too easy and not too hard, they make sense and are therefore doable, no guessing necessary. There were no illogical actions or puzzles like in some P&C games. Overall a great point and click game, on a par with the great classics and masterpieces. Took around 10 hours to finish. -Lonely science fiction. Crashed on a barren planet -Flying robot as a side-kick -A complex plot, questions upon questions -An adult message and presentations in a gloomy atmosphere ;)
Monolith is a game that starts big but it lacks the components to carry that structure. Voice acting is bad, interface is clunky and it has all the vices of old point & click games. We've long past the need to stretch content by making the player go back and forth over the same stages and Monolith relies heavy on that. The puzzles are annoying at best, not really smart or new. The story is not very original and it lacks enough clues or foreshadowing to stick the landing. It feels like they didn't know how to end it and picked a trope from a bag. To be honest, I wanted to like this game, but as it is I did not enjoy playing it.
