Money for Girls: Amortized

Played through and got my first ending and so far fantastic. Great art,good sound design and weird cryptic prose and dialogue (my favorite). Every line and description is a balancing act of golden and extravagant prose and warm dripping scenes of disgust. The best way to describe it is when you can smell trash through a scented trash bag. The degradation it captures is intense from the start, wide eyes watching as your crush humiliates you. It's horrific and confusing as it should be. Everything is glazed over with a sheen of plastic and latex hiding a rancid core of ecstatic moral decay. From the moment you speak you're laid out like a piece of roadkill for the buzzards to peck apart. Every choice feels like a trap. The visions you have are hard to look at and uncomfortable, but that's exactly why i identify with it. Even though I'm a cis male (not entirely straight), i identify heavily with most of the themes of this game, even if I'm not a horse girl lesbian living in a capitalist island hellscape. Loneliness, social awkwardness, ocd anxiety and weird ass interests that freak people out. The game captures that weird sensation of humid obsession and attraction that I've felt most of my life; a sense of wrongness everywhere i turn. If you're a cis guy who avoids any and all queer or feminist games and media, stop thinking of target audiences, turn off your brain from outside concepts of what you should or shouldn't feel and be a human, for god's sake, feel what this game is saying. If you cant identify with the pain and struggles when they are of a person laid out in front of you in visceral gut-wrenching detail, then you need to grow up and actually try to be a good person.

I decided to play as close to my own personality as possible, because I guess I'm a masochist, and I sunk really deep into the world of this game. There's just something so... sugary underneath.

Incredible game, most memorable game I've played this year. I'm not one usually for horror but the lure of toxic yuri VN plot was too hard to ignore and pays off massively! I loved the lesbian earnest girlfailure x closed off mean girl dynamic that played out. Also shout out to the trans modifier option not just being a joke mechanic and actually being implemented so well into the story if picked. Very sincerely and sweetly done.

Disco Elysium for fans of Doki Doki Literature Club with a Madoka Magica witchy aesthetic. Great ost, funny too. If you're a fan of visual novel style gameplay and also a sick little freak you need to play this game asap.
