It started in your foot. Now it’s in your head. All that remains is the command: GO UP. Meet strange neighbors. Make bad trades. Every ascent teaches you what you should have done differently.

About
The only thought left is: GO UP.
The building has thirty floors. Your body has problems - hunger, thirst, exhaustion. The infection doesn’t care. It only wants altitude.
Your body is in shambles... but the foot keeps climbing.
The building is not haunted. The people in it are not monsters - and they want things. Junk. Food. Favors. Someone to do something mildly humiliating to their neighbor.
A few of them know things they shouldn't. And maybe what they know has something in common.
You're the only one collecting the pieces.
The building is the same every time you climb it. The neighbors are the same. The trades are the same. The vending machine on the ground floor has the same stock.
What changes is what you know.
Every run, you learn something. A shortcut. A better trade. An item you thought was useless until it saved your life. Slowly, the building starts to make sense.
You’ll know what to do next time.
But your foot isn’t waiting.

Very good short horror game
MOLDRISE is a short and strange horror game where each failed attempt teaches you more about the unsettling apartment building, its residents and hidden secrets. The atmosphere, grotesque art style, and bizarre characters are such highlights that you have to see for yourself. Some may complain that they find the infection, hunger, and thirst meters frustrating but it helps create constant tension (especially on the infected mode). Story Mode reduces this issue, so go for that if you feel the infected mode is too punishing. It takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, and albeit limited replay value, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans of experimental indie horror. What a wonderfully fun little game. perfect for an afternoon, exploring all the different characters and methods to go up, up, up.
Very good game, tho you probably should have avoided spelling out the meaning out loud at the end of it
A short game, but well-executed. The atmosphere is similar to that of Mouthwashing. The concept is very interesting.
Succinct in all the right ways
Definitely a very fun game with a basic but nonetheless very compelling story. I think my favorite part of it all was how the visual and sound effects were done, as they are all absolutely beautiful and perfect at accomplishing everything they need to. My favorite examples of this are probably the getting yelled at SFX as well as all of the hallucinations. I also think that the knowledge based puzzles were very tasteful, and much more interesting than the more basic forms of progression other story-centric games tend to use. So uh yeah, this is a very fun and interesting game, and I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try.
Just finished this masterpiece. This game is one of the many reasons why i love videogames. IT was fun, unique, amazing voice actors, superfun gameplay, interesting story and i loved every second of it. What a banger. Buy and support this gem <3 (Small note: Don't get distracted by the permadeath and you have to start again thingy, ever playtrough you are smarter and you can skip some parts, it's actually well crafted and well thought)
two words: supa fun
Short but fun game. I do wish there was a setting to disable the camera roll when moving the mouse though.
