This game is highly disappointing. It's English translation does not use grammar and might have been google translate, the quality of the game is bad, and you cant even change the graphics. I am disappointed.
the good: - game has no game breaking bugs - gameplay is interesting and offers some options - the mobile or arcade game that the game seems to be intended to be can be easily understood by newcomers to naval style battles for surface level entertainment - the visuals are interesting - the controls usually work - as an small game made by a small company it demonstrates that in the future, we may have things to be optimistic about - the game shows promise (IMPORTANT) the bad: - translation to english is abysmal and barely allows people to play the game, with most of the in-game text not formatted in a way you can view it, but its usually there, and you gotta respect the effort - all the unit types from each faction are, for the most part, copies of each other and there's little to no variation between them, likely in a way to encourage balance - gameplay is entirely carrier focused but the airplanes are really clunky in use, the ui doesn't help you and you cannot organize missions effectively. for example, theres no indication of what planes are currently doing, theres no feedback to indicate that things are being done at all, and theres no way to understand ranges or organize attacks in that way, so you got to guess everything. By the end of it, the screen is extremely cluttered with information that doesn't help you - it shouldn't be hard to let radars overlap like in CMO rather than destroy your screen with a million yellow lines - there is no auto engage for ships, so you can walk next to the enemy and wave at them - there is no ai for planes, so they will sit on top of enemy ships and die and you will have no idea whats going on the ugly: - play it and see for yourself my opinions: - i know this is really small and a translation issue but for some reason they labeled "airborne early warning" as "electronic warfare" and i keep clicking on it and i hate it because "scout" doesn't make any sense - one of the campaign missions is bugged (the "STEALTH" mission) and there's no way to game it - the game markets itself as a "simulation" game when it clearly an arcade game in every way you could possibly look at it, even trying to be generous the story: This gripping tale sends you first to the Black Sea in 1996, where tensions had been brewing between NATO and Russia for some time. Apparently Russia got mad that NATO exists and decided to sink a US frigate, which leads to the US sinking the entire Black Sea fleet. I mean, it's serviceable and gives you the opportunity to try out the gameplay, but the questions remain: who is your trusty sidekick, Rogers? Will his patriotism hold true? Will Rogers ever be more to you than a friend? Only time will tell, but by the end of it, I'm at the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating more exposition for our beloved Rogers. You're then taken to the East China Sea, where a US ship happened to stray into Chinese waters. Apparently there was some helicopter somewhere "jamming" everyone but because this is marketing itself as a simulation game, I'm going to assume that this "helicopter jamming" was just a joke because it makes no sense. Either way, the two sides aren't able to talk to each other. Naturally, the Chinese decide to blow up the American ship. Don't ask me why. This kind of violence is justified because "territorial integrity" apparently, even though it could easily have been some kind of innocent accident. Anyways, you and your best friend, Zhe Xu come together with a few other PLAN ships and throw a billion missiles into the Burke, blowing it up. What's funny about this scenario is that you can have all your ships next to the American one and it just doesn't care. I'm guessing that the developers intended this behavior to demonstrate that the Chinese "determination to resist to the death" is pretty easy, considering the US wasn't acting hostile. I'm not sure how Zhe Xu was doing it, but he was also talking to the literal DDG Harbin. I'm inclined to assume that the ship was speaking in broken english. All in all, it's just another normal day in China. By 1996, the Russians are really mad. They decide to sink a US carrier group somewhere in the North Pacific. Not really sure what's going on there but don't worry, Andrei Ivanov is here to help. As your companion, he speaks to you with a soft, comforting voice, making sure that all your needs are met before you and your Russian friends get sent to die off in the middle of nowhere. He continuously remarks that "we suck" and "man, I want to go home" but by the end of it, the entire US fleet is sunk by like two bombers and a handful of surface ships. Just kidding, the story actually goes back and says they couldn't sink the carrier. I feel bad for Andrei Ivanov and hope he returns in a later mission, as our touching relationship has only started to blossom. I have no idea what happens in the next mission because its all Chinese. There's no text at all. Rogers is there, despite everything, and your fateful reunion with this esteemed character is cut short. The Russians are... doing something... and you need to kill them. This mission takes about ten seconds and involves spamming airplanes. Alright, you might say, easy enough, but what you don't realize is that only now does your relationship with Rogers really kick into high gear. Spending such quality time with such an important person helps you develop a real connection, and the fact he returns yet again is proof that Rogers holds feelings for the player. I'm so happy to see Rogers again that I forgot that this level ended with a victory for no reason. Now, you fast forwards like 25 years to 2022. Yeah. Not even kidding. You and Rogers have spent 25 years at each other's sides and have forged a bond unlike anything the world has ever seen. Rogers is your soulmate, and together, you are tasked with... saving the Nord Stream 2 pipeline? By evacuating the staff held hostage by the Russians? Well, you're supposed to secretly send SEAL team 6 to go and save the day but the mission is literally unplayable and Rogers is left with you in tears as you constantly retry it, struggling to understand what the parameters for failure are. I mean, it was really great that the Russians had no idea what was going on in order for the mission to take place and it's also great that they're so oblivious as to not realize that the electronic jamming is probably a problem, along with the loss of all their ships in the area. Don't worry guys, this stealth mission couldn't possibly go wrong. Anyways I ended up marrying Rogers and we lived happily ever after somewhere in a Siberian Gulag before we were transferred to Xinjiang and had a threesome with Zhe Xu.
