Misericorde Volume Two: White Wool & Snow

You can tell a story has great writing when you are screaming at the screen at the character's mistakes. My heart is as broken as a certain character's. Hopefully vol 3 has it all work out in a nice happy ending (lol fat chance).

They're calling Sister Hedwig "the worst to ever do it", love this girlfailure. Art and music are still great (waiting on that OST release!), and this volume gets much more into the various conflicts and relationships between the Linbarrow sisters that were festering beneath the surface in Volume One. Without spoiling too much, I will say I'm starting to see what the hype is around "toxic yuri" if what's on offer here is a gold standard example. I am going to kms though since, unlike when I finished Volume One last week, now I have to actually wait until Volume Three is finished. Alas, vadis satis est, enim nunc.

Volume 1 was really great, but Volume 2 is simply phenomenal. Both on its own, and as an expansion on Volume 1. It really feels like two parts of the same story and not a sequel, in the best way. The writing is some of the best I've experienced in the medium. Every character has newly revealed depth and the mysteries grow ever deeper and darker. I am eagerly anticipating Volume 3 and will gladly follow anything the developer does next.

So happy to be able to catch up before the conclusion. I let too many masterpieces pass me by, wouldn't want to miss out on participating in another one.

(Streamed this with a friend on his account, bought it later to support the artist.) This is one of the best written stories out there, period. Everything about it is fantastic. Cannot recommend it highly enough. When the third volume comes out, I'll be there. Cannot sing its praises enough.
