good but the story means nothing and it hasnt aged great but its still good. i grew up with it and it was much better as a 10 year old

It's an okay game. The parkour is fun, but the combat is a little weird. The narrative starts off as an interesting murder mystery, but could've been better as it approached its finale. It's also very short.

quite literally timeless art style and direction, needs to be modded to fix some physX issues but outside of that it's just brilliant

While the game is older, and UI elements look a bit blurry on higher, more modern resolutions, the core gameplay is still acceptable in this day and age, and looks gorgeous on 1080p or 1440p. For the pricepoint, it's a great simulation of a dystopian society where you can parkour and even run and gun your way to victory.

A groundbreaking cult classic that deserves all the praise it gets. An immersive first person parkour game which encapsulates perfectly that brief moment in the early 7th gen console era where AAA game studios where permitted to create seemingly passion projects (and this example being published by EA mind you!). The attention to detail in the landscapes, the bold art style, the tone, the sound design and soundtrack, the tech that was made to make some of the, even to this day, best visuals in gaming, it all merges so perfectly in a really tight campaign. There are some little caveats though, a not very polished combat system that is not very well thought out damages the last half of the campaign, which in itself suffers from worse pacing story wise and rushed level design. This harms the last couple hours of a very short 6 hour campaign, and if you're thinking of playing on 4K you'll need to do a little bit of tinkering installing "Mirror's Edge Tweaks", a super easy to use fix for modern systems, so not a huge problem really. One of those video games that inspired many after, and one that everyone should try at least once. It shows how visuals and presentation alone can make a game stand out as a piece of gaming history. And well, the top tier parkour mechanics do also help a lot.
