This game was fun. It's a short indie horror game. I finished it in about 6.5 hours, but that is, IMO, a good length for a horror game. I thought it had an interesting story and some effective jump scares. I enjoyed the art style and enemies. It wasn't particularly scary, but I liked the overall look and feel of the game.
Don't buy. The game is glitchy as ♥♥♥♥. Mediocre under every aspect: models, texture, lighting (absolute crap), game play, game design, story. It wants to be silent hill, but it doesn't have it's intelligence nor depth. Sometimes it seems amnesia, but it doesn't have it's atmosphere. And again it's glitchy as ♥♥♥♥! Worth one run just for the nostalgia effect that sometimes it triggers: then chuck it in the bin. UPDATE: got stuck because I didn't press the first switch at the lantern boss and now I'm at the end of it and it's impossible to go back and press the first button in order to open the gate. Stuck forever. Should restart the game. Nah. This is rat piss. Unistall and goodbye.

There's a breaking bug at the end of the lantern lady section where if you missed a button the chase sequence will completely break unless you then exploit that bug to go back and press the button you missed.
Review: https://youtu.be/B0nK3jy42ss
The game is gripping and intense right from the start. It's obviously inspired by Silent Hill (there's even an achievement for catching a SH reference) but it doesn't try to clone it or the story, it follows its own way. The story is weird, which is expected when dealing with multi-dimensions, but interesting. Most of the puzzles are fairly easy, but some others towards the end are more challenging. Also near the end, the objectives don't update when they should, so it's easy to get lost not knowing what to do. There are some chase sequences, some combat and lots of jumpscares. It's a humble game, don't expect AAA quality. Just enjoy the ride.
Mirror Forge is one of the more impressive indie walking sims I've played, especially for fans of psychological horror. 1) Atmosphere and Visuals: Clearly inspired by Silent Hill, the game nails its eerie tone with strong visuals and a distinct look for each area. Some sections are genuinely unnerving and unsettling. 2) Controls: Quite serviceable and responsive. However, binding the pause menu to TAB by default instead of the more standard ESC, with no option to rebind was unexpected. 3) Gameplay: While the creature design is creepy on its own, the game relies too heavily on jump scares. The atmosphere does enough work, it didn’t need that many cheap jumpscares. 4) Puzzles: The puzzles are a mixed bag—some are genuinely engaging while others devolve into basic fetch quests with added stunning or evasion segments. 5) Performance: No technical issues on my end. The game offers a decent range of graphics settings and features like ALT+TAB and multi-monitor cursor movement work without problems. 6) Achievements: Getting all achievements in a single run will likely require a guide, as the game doesn’t allow backtracking.
Good Game 7\10
