Warning: Asset Flip! Honey Are You There? is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is a short first person horror adventure asset flip kitbashed out from the Unity Asset Store and a first person adventure/horror game blueprint. Gamers, of course, can smell an asset flip from a mile away, so it was a dismal flop. Run around a haunted house being chased by a girl, clearly some sort of aspiration for the developer or something. Oh, the girl is a ghost asset that jumpscares you. Wow, that's never been done before. Except it's in just about every single one of these first person horror Unity kitbashes. There must be thousands of these by now. The developer made the game free, to create a balance between the price of the game and the value it has for gamers. Honey Are You There? is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Honey Are You There?", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $3 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

lovely game just a shame there was no setting for the head and brightness and sound but a great game around
Bardzo fajna gra, króciutka. Dobra historia, napięta atmosfera. Według mnie ta gra nie powinna być darmowa, bo jest lepsza od wielu, za które trzeba płacić. Polecam!
it has really good jump scares, but to me, they are all at a predictable moment but they still got me
Enjoyed the game play, loved the jump scares. It was a shame to have such an abrupt ending. overall was a good game and would recommend to others.
