The developer has stopped releasing updates for the game, buy at your own risk. A really good proof of concept that if implemented 'completely' would be a superhit... BUT the game needs a lot of finishing work and it seems like developers stopped releasing updates for the game. If I had seen the date of last update I wouldn't have purchased the game, oh well.
The game is WAY too expensive for what's actually in it. The game lacks much gameplay, and units can't attack enemies on their own, which is incredibly unfair against an AI that can literally attack with all units at the same time, not to mention with much greater accuracy. The speed at which your mouse moves while aiming is INCREDIBLY slow, and keeping track of enemy units is difficult due to the long loading time of the recon ability, and the speed of the enemy. They tend to leave the area of your recon orb within seconds, and your cannon takes a good 15 seconds between shots. You're only one person, and you have to babysit your units. The AI can control many units at once, since their units have actual AI. You have to buy buildings and wait for resources to do anything, the AI doesn't. They just spawn on their tracks and barrage the ♥♥♥♥ out of your base. The game needs lots of work and rebalancing to make it worth 30 USD. It's just way too expensive... especially for its current state. If it were cheap to begin with, but then became more expensive as it became a more complete game... then sure. But right now I feel like I spent 30 USD on a demo...
I don't know if any of the developers of this game reading it.. BUT anyway, at the current state the game is barley playable. i'll begin with CAMERA: - The rotation jumps all the time from one angle to other. when you switch between 3rd preson and global view. this is super confusing and super annoying when you try to track with your eyes the direction where the enemy is shooting from. - The camera zooms incredibly slow when zoomed-out, and incredibly fast when zoomed in closeup to something. - On map notifications/alert icons disappear when you switch from 3rd person to global view. - The minimap disappears when the player switches to global view. - In global view, the camera is not movable. you only can change the angle. - Camera jittering when zoomed in(it's probably a bug) ADVICE for Devs: Play a game called "Supreme commander", this RTS game has the camera & minimap controls that you are trying reinvent here. And for TRAIN CONTROLS play a game called "factorio". Other problems: - Duplicated menus. you can do the same actions from different menus. it's confusing. - NOT enough features for revealing the fog of war and scouting the enemy. - The radar tower is COMPLETELY USELESS, it has no features, and very tiny view range(when the view range should be it's only feature). - The train itself has very tiny view range also. - The calldowns are HUGE. - Can't shoot when loading minerals. - Fire button disappears sometimes in the cannon facility. - Shots fired disappear sometimes too. - Calldown is applied to all cannons, even when you shoot only from one of them. - AI is cheating on all difficulties. it simply knows where are you at any time. it's not even try to simulate player's behavior. - The next wave starts even when you haven't defeated all the enemies from the previous wave. - The train controls are horrible. devs should try to play with the train in "factorio" in order to understand how it should be made. OVERALL PvE: There is no way you can defeat the enemies even on the first wave at easiest difficulty level. because you simply cannot find them, there is no enough scouting features, and the radar is useless, and the camera is confusing, and the minimap disappears, FORGOT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE WEATHER EFFECTS which are completely INSANE with the current camera controls. OVERALL PVP: I haven't tried, but i can imagine that it will take FOREVER for players to find each other's trains. Both of the players will simply try to destroy each other's facilities and win the game this way.
I'm not one for leaving reviews that often, but this experience is so frustrating and unbelievable I couldn't help but say something. My complaint isn't about the game play mechanics but the games functionality. This game is very prone to crashing even on a computer that's more than capable of running it on the most intense settings. I was in the middle of a campaign mission and all of a sudden the battle field goes black. I thought "No biggie, I'll just save and reload the game.". I reload the game and every time I do, there is a fatal error including from auto saves, which crash the game. If you don't mind bugs that ruin the game and force you to effectively restart everything you did since saving and reloading isn't an option, have fun! Otherwise don't waste your time nor money.
It's *fine*. Unfortunately that's all it is. Really not worth the pricetag. Maybe about half the price it would be worth it for a throwaway couple of hours, but nothing more.
Idea looks cool, but the gameplay is awful
говно! нет ни возможности сохраниться... нет русского интерфейса... как в шашки сыграть на полчасика и всё
Game is not finished & bugged in areas where bugs should not appear, also AI doesnt even pretend to play by the rules
UI is sooo bad, camera controls sooo bad, even basic controls are hard to find/don't make sense.
Fun game with great concept but only has a horde mode and story mode, story mode has unskippable dialogue and its just basically a very long tutorial
