Mind Snares: Alice's Journey

Gute Wimmelbildszenen. Nette Hintergrundmusik. Teils falsche Übersetzung,aber halb so wild. Lässt sich gut durchzocken.

I thought it was going to be based on Alice in Wonderland, but it's more a Fran Bow vibe. Fewer puzzles than other Artifex Mundi games. Perfect amount of hidden object. Not sure I care for the art and music in this game as much as others from this developer, but enjoyed it all the same. On the easier side for puzzle babies like myself.

Puzles entretenidos, progresión sencilla, está a la par con los otros de artifex, de le único que podría quejarme y con razón es que no se si usan IA para traducir porque a veces en este juego me cuesta encontrar objetos ya que los ponen en español latinoamericano, pero ha habido un caso que ni eso. Debía encontrar un "bastoncillo" y el objeto resultó ser una almohadilla... casi 20 minutos de mi gameplay han sido buscar ese bastoncillo fantasma hasta que por un missclick le di a la almohadilla. En otras cosas la historia tenía una premisa interesante y es fácil de captar la idea, pero termina demasiado abrupta-mente y falta de un epílogo al menos, lo cual te deja un poquito igual.

If you like Artifex Mundi and HOA games, it's worth grabbing on sale. The story so far is pretty pedestrian unfortunately. I was hoping for a bit more Wonderland, but this slides pretty far into (not really scary) horror. As a side note, the hidden object scenes themselves are a bit muddy and pixel-picky. It would definitely benefit from allowing you to zoom into the scenes.

A decent game. I kind of wish the tree lady got a name, because just calling her Tree Lady when she is somehow part of you isn't great. The music is nice and the plot has potential, but it ultimately doesn't feel fulfilled. Good puzzles and hidden object scenes, though.

Honestly, it was pretty fun, sad that a lot of the cool parts of the game are for the first totem and the last totem but besides that, I had good time, it wasn't challenging or too easy, sometimes had a bit of trouble with moving from scene to scene and getting out of the diary but the map fixed this issue. The story was kinda forgettable and the main character was pretty shallow, even for the character arc she supposedly goes through. I didn't encounter any bugs besides a few items glitching in and out of the hud but it was issue was resolved after the 2nd totem in which it happened in. Also glad that theres no collectables to go looking at a guide for, and thankfully ALL items in your inventory do get used and don't carry over to the next world, which is a neat touch and doesn't make the worlds feel too samey to each other and many items are used more than once to limit redundant items like knives or other sharp objects. Puzzles were also engaging and had a few scratch my head at but did have to sit on hand puzzle for a bit due to the instructions being TOO confusing, but none I had to look a guide up for along with the HO scenes being nicely done and are only revisiting once or twice per scene and world. Some scenes were hard to see items in, leading to staring at them for farr too long. But besides that, they were easy and not too many moon logic solutions. For a beginner or a casual HOG gamer, I suggest this game but only when its on sale, its very pick up and play and has a lot of pros that I did not go into but other reviews do. I had a fun time but would prolly not go and replay it myself after getting all the achievements my first playthrough.
