Insanely good game, easily one of the best old school adventure/RPG games I've played. The biggest problem with the game is the balancing and the healing system: * When it comes to balance, it varies wildly, the start is really really hard, then you get a couple of bone ups and you become considerably stronger than most enemies. At the halfway mark of the intended progression, it swaps back to being hard, and after a couple levels, it eases up again. This repeats for the final act of the game, and then it's over, and this is assuming you follow the progression hinted within the game. If you decide to ignore it (which you easily can), there's no telling how hard or how easy some areas of the game are going to be for you. Personally I didn't mind this, I feel like most games follow this exact same pattern, just less aggressively. * As for the healing system, it is probably the most punishing healing system in any game that I've played, you have to fight tooth and nail to earn the privilege of getting your HP back up. There are a LOT of ways in-game to improve it, to make it less punishing, easier or even overpowered. Personally I also didn't mind how punishing it was, scraping by and finding opportunities to heal up was fun and engaging to me, and when I found a couple of modifiers to make the healing more to my taste, it entirely stops being a problem. If you're looking at this game and thinking it might be for you, I highly suggest you give it a go, and follow the newspapers hints on where to go. They guide you through the world on the ideal progression path.

Beautiful, special game.
A throwrback to my gameboy time, with the improvements for gaming that have been established in the meantime. I love the story, the designs and the mousy protagonist, it's just awesome!
Obra maestra
The year is 2026. It is an ordinary day chalked up with no hopes, no dreams, no certitude. Only the eternal emptiness remains as you've apathetically leaked every worldly desire out of your body drip by drip, year by year. The soul crushing weight of the world you live in has relentlessly squeezed every last drop out of your fleshy husk. You gasp for air as you catch a glimpse of salvation. A single drop permeates the arid wasteland of endless possessions that have run their charted course. A bead hand crafted by talented, creative people putting forward their best ideas despite the few pulpy remains of integrity that most of us have left to show. These fleeting few moments encapsulate a time when people created projects out of sheer care and passion. When your ambitions hadn't been completely jaded by the endless spiral of avarice bred skepticism. You lament, "if only I could hold on to these moments a bit longer", as you once again watch the grains dry and slip through the cracks of your fingers. Just as they always do. So what are you waiting for. Open the game. It's a remnant of yourself that you once held so dear. Watch as that small fading glimmer in your eye sparks one more genuine smile of a past so melancholic you're not sure if the tears are joy or sadness. A reminder of what you had, and what you stand to be. You'll love it. You love now. You loved then.
Twórcy mieli przed sobą ogromne wyzwanie i mu podołali.
