Millennium - A New Hope

The game has a lot of mechanical options that are very nice and I wish were present in other games of this kind. You can enable guiding arrows that lead you through where you need to go, allowing you to explore side areas without accidently progressing the game, which is how I play personally. The game also gives you an option to set encounters as random or appearing on the map, allowing you to customize your game in that respect. there are interesting secondary progression mechanics, the body, agility, magic and muscle points you can spend to upgrade your party stats, and so on. On a technical level the game does a lot of nice things. That's where praise ends however. The music while passable often feels unfitting. the character and world design is bland and umemorable. The plot has an ok premise but the script ruins it completely. Dialog writing is dreadfully bad, it felt like I was reading middle of the road fanfiction. It's cringe plain and simple, and it's attempt at jokes are groan inducing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend playing it, but I would recommend any potential RPGMaker devs to check some of the mechanics implemented and consider using them in their own work.

Petit jeux de role intéressant malgré quelques lacunes dans le gameplay.

Le jeu est beau mais c'est à peu prêt tout. Backtracking permanent, quêtes fedex ou obscures, secrets pénalisant si pas activé pile au bon moment et surtout combats chiants à mourir. Après 15 heures d'autoattaque, je lâche l'affaire. Le scénar commence pas plus folichon que ça, un espoir d'originalité mais non, on revient au sempiternel un groupe de 10 pellos va sauver et/ou bouleverser le monde. A l'époque, j'étais un grand fan de la série laxius power (le premier surtout pour son coté décalé et humoristique ne se prenant pas trop au sérieux), et ber, on est tombé bien bas :/ .

This is strangely good. Definitely worth the little money it costs
