I was listening to the amazing, upbeat soundtrack and realized I never gave this a thumbs up.
WayForward specializes in making extremely simple, stylized platformers with amazing soundtracks.
They are mostly known for their Shantae series, but this series has for me been "the" WayForward game as it condenses everything I like about them into the smallest, most easily consumed package they have.
You play through a series of platforming levels and "pick up babes", before making your way to the exit, with each game having a boss that switches things up for a climactic final level, sometimes even being a little difficult.
The games are relatively short, each containing only a few levels and even going for the speedrun medals, this game will not last you for very long. Furthermore, the title suggest is has 4 games, but two of those are the same (the low definition and high definition versions of the same game), and academy is more of a "spin off" than a proper entry in my opinion.
That said, the great artwork, the upbeat, amazing music and the interesting, yet simple platformer mechanics are definitely worth trying out. Highly recommend.
