Midnight Scenes: Among Graves

The "Midnight Scenes" series always have a great story - and this one is no exception. Once I started playing I was so intrigued, I couldn't stop. I particularly liked how the "creatures" were portayed, especially in the closing scenes. Very atompsheric and exceptionally beautiful pixel art.

Looks and sounds great, but there's nothing to do and I really wish these would have at least a little actual gameplay. The theme of this story is dealing with inevitable fate and it just doesn't feel convincing to [spoiler]claim there's nothing you can do and then not even let me try. Like, no wonder I end up dead, you wouldn't let me do anything about it, only let me watch things unfold.[/spoiler] Also can't agree with the overall message of [spoiler]accepting your fate peacefully etc., especially when it is injust. And it makes for a somewhat unsatisfying story, too.[/spoiler] I like this series, but this one didn't work for me. Didn't think it was spooky, either.

I really love this game and this franchise. A wonderful, heartwarming story and great atmosphere. The pixel-art is very atmospheric. I just wish it was a little bit longer.

As always, this was another really great game and really great story. I so enjoy them, and highly recommend them.

A very short but enjoyable entry to the Midnight Scenes series. I liked the creepy vibe, and the ending was good. Plays perfectly on the SteamDeck.
