Midnight at the Celestial Palace: Part I

Good 1st chapter Short but good.

Very unusual to have a point and click adventure game that actually has multiple songs sung by the characters, which is the novelty that drew me to try this game out. It works well in the context and the whole game gives me a feel of watching a stage play. The background graphics are nicely drawn and detailed even if they feel a little flat. The story and characters are charming, and the puzzles aren't overly taxing, but make sense in the confines of the game world. I quite like the sense of humor in the writing and would often do things that I knew wouldn't actually help me progress just to see what kind of response the game would give me. I was saddened to hear that further chapters have been shelved and would actually support a Kickstarter campaign if that would help the creators make them. Even if that never happens, you could do far worse than spend a few bucks on this charming little adventure, even if it's just this chapter, it's well worth the price.

Love the sense of humor of this game. Wish there was more! It's fun on its own, though. Worth playing.

Witty and funny. Puzzles to solve and music mixed with the game.

Wirklich witziges und Liebevoll inzeniertes "Point & Click Musical". Die Story ist echt nett und die Rätsel eher von der leichten Sorte. Doch Achtung! Die Devs haben wegen Verkaufszahlen die weit hinter den Erwartungen zurückblieben das Projekt auf Eis gelegt! Deshalb wird die Story wohl nie zu einem wirklichen Ende kommen. Dennoch sind die 99 cent Salepreis für ca. 3 Stunden leichter Unterhaltung voll in Ordnung und alles andere als Geld- und Zeitverschwendung.

Premier épisode d'un point & click très sympa qui mérite sa suite: -univers pouvant sembler enfantin au premier abord mais pas de niaiseries (à part dans les chansons, heureusement anecdotiques). -gameplay classique mais énigmes agréables et cohérentes, peut-être un peu faciles -graphismes plutôt mignons -humour très plaisant malgré la barrière de la langue; mais ce n'est pas un anglais très compliqué -durée de vie plutôt faible mais premier épisode seul bémol: les chansons (je ne suis pas trop fan) qui auraient mérité d'être plus intéractives en y incluant des énigmes un peu plus complexes. Conclusion: vivement le deuxième épisode!!!

I loved the game and really hope for a part 2. The songs weren't bad either!

I thought this game was very creative and original. Enjoyed playing it. Songs were awesome. I'm sad to hear that sequels have been halted indefinitely. Really hope I get the opportunity to play more
