Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best JP #40, worst KR #80 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 19.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 20.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game hard mode is actually hard! (unlike persona Merciless/Hard mode)
抛开老套到一眼望到头的剧情,弱智级别的政治描写,娘炮到全程毫无进步的男主,又臭又长的boss战,大幅缩减的COOP元素之外,这游戏还行。
its a metaphor

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a Disappointment for Fans of Player-Driven RPGs If you believe that “RPG” should mean role-playing your own character, making meaningful personal choices, and shaping the story through your decisions, then Metaphor: ReFantazio is not for you. It’s simply a frustrating experience. The game teases customization and freedom with its flashy Archetypes, party composition, and skill inheritance, only to take it away the moment you try to play your own way. The protagonist is a completely fixed character with a predetermined personality, backstory, and motivations. You are not creating a hero. You’re escorting someone else’s bland, generic anime lead. There’s little emotional investment because neither his goals nor his relationships feel truly earned, they mostly feel like convenient plot devices. The Illusion of Choice The Archetype system looks deep in previews and screenshots, but in practice it often boils down to “swap to the correct loadout for this specific encounter.” True build freedom and experimentation, the kind found in Shin Megami Tensei’s demon fusion or classic CRPGs like Fallout 1/2 and Baldur’s Gate 3, is heavily constrained by rigid encounter design. The system rewards pattern recognition far more than creativity or breaking the game. Dialogue choices are shallow. Moral agency is almost nonexistent. You can’t meaningfully change how your character behaves, how companions view you, or how the world reacts to your values. You’re simply performing in a tightly authored story where the main character already knows exactly who he is. Even basic appearance customization is extremely limited. The fact that players need mods just to change the protagonist’s hair and eye color says everything: when basic self-expression requires community fixes, something is wrong with the base game. This Isn’t “Just a Different Style of RPG” Defenders will call it “Japanese RPG tradition,” and they’re right. But that doesn’t make the disappointment any less valid. Through modern marketing and comparisons to SMT, the game creates expectations of player agency it simply doesn’t deliver. It borrows the language of freedom-heavy RPGs while offering a mostly linear, director-driven experience. Who It’s For If you enjoy predefined characters, cinematic storytelling, and traditional turn-based combat, you’ll probably love Metaphor. Many people clearly do. But if you want to role-play your way, create your own hero, make morally gray or outright evil choices, build something uniquely broken, or solve problems off the intended path, this game will constantly remind you that you’re just a passenger in someone else’s story. Verdict for players who value real agency: 2/10
this game is lowkey life-changing. it has an amazing story, amazing cast, and amazing atmosphere that makes you wanting to play for longer. i actually wish the story itself was also longer as time went on and i got closer to the endgame. compared to other atlus games, the fantasy setting serves well for the narrative and the world-building and i hope to see a sequel in the works! this game is really strong in both its execution and how it conveys the main themes of the story. as you follow our protagonist around euchronia, you learn more about the class struggles, the racial tensions, and the moral dilemmas faced by the different tribes. by gathering allies on your way, you eventually establish yourself in the world that feels like a breath of fresh air in the current rpg-story climate. accompanied by an amazing soundtrack and stylish ui, it is still an atlus game, through and through, and all the parts people love its games for. if i could play this game for the first time, i would do it in a heartbeat. <3
Not as good as the Persona games in my opinion, but still very much worth playing!
проиграл сутки, проебал сохранение, начинаю с 11 июня. я долбаёб, спасибо
