Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 55/day in the week to Aug 28 → 71.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The extreme tension of infiltrating without being detected.
Metal Gear series, the pinnacle of “stealth action” where you avoid combat and complete missions while hiding.
The game take place 10 years after METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater.
Amidst the swirling conspiracies behind the East-West Cold War, Snake confronts them while leading a private military force.
This is the story of how one soldier, “Snake”, becomes “Big Boss”.
【STORY】
THE ILLUSION OF PEACE FALTERS
In 1964, after saving the world from all-out nuclear war, Naked Snake, a true hero, receives the name Big Boss, but he disappears shortly after the naming ceremony.
Ten years later, Big Boss is running an independent military unit in Columbia, when he is visited by two individuals from Costa Rica, a country without a military.
In a post-Cuban Missile Crisis world, and in a Central America essential to maintaining the power balance between East and West, Costa Rica has been miraculously able to maintain peace.
However, a mysterious armed group has been seen acting suspiciously throughout the region.
They request Big Boss to investigate and eliminate the armed group.
Though he hesitates to accept the request because the tape they brought contained the voice of The Boss, who was supposed to be dead.
【System】
This title offers not only thrilling solo infiltration missions but also co-op with “SENYU” via online connections, and competitive multiplayer for up to six players.
The offshore facility Mother Base supports your missions.

Favorite Metal Gear. I wish they did more with it. This is the one that invented the loop everyone remembers from the last game: Mother Base, Fulton-snatching recruits, building a private army out of whoever you knock out and balloon home. MGSV took the FOBs and the kidnapping and turned the volume up. Peace Walker already had the soul of it. Story slaps. The silliness slaps harder. You get Cold War nuclear-AI nonsense, then you wander off into optional Monster Hunter missions and fight Rathalos in Costa Rica like that’s a normal Tuesday. The cat (Trenya, the Felyne on the dock) is cute as hell. Talking cat, Monster Hunter crossover, Kojima being Kojima. The politics are idiotic and I don’t buy a second of the Che-as-hero stuff. Still funny to hear a AAA game talk about him like that with a straight face. Amanda (the comandante) is the best part of that whole thread. She knows she’s running KGB-backed narco work to fund the revolution, she’s ashamed of it, she’s poor, she’s trying to keep Chico from finding out, and she talks like an actual Nicaraguan who code-switches into Spanglish when she wants to. Selective Spanish, cigarettes over cigars, men who still call her Amanda instead of Comandante until she earns it. That’s better writing than the manifesto parts. If you only played the numbered Solid games, this is the missing link. Short missions, co-op bosses, base management that actually feels like you’re growing something. They should’ve stayed in this sandbox instead of just mining it for V. Still my favorite. Communism is bad kids!

最高のゲームだ。キーボード&マウスでプレイしているが、自分の環境では全く問題ない。 本来MGS5として作られていたのが納得の出来。
Took awhile but it's finally here, Love it as always thanks komoney.
great port outside of the mouse issues, which is too big of an issue for me to make a positive review. From what I've heard, it works fine on controller, and lowering my mouse report rate has worked fine for me. Additionally, those "It's a psp game, it should require joysticks to be played" reviews are baffling because not only is this a port for PC, but also the PSP only had one stick so their argument isn't even accurate
Koi no Yokushiryoku
Feels very polished, very enjoyable. Absolute Kojima.
Having ended the series with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (originally titled Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker) brought Hideo Kojima back once again, and this time without any Venom towards his fanbase. The game was born from Kojima's desire to develop a game for the PlayStation Portable to connect with his son's generation. It takes inspiration from many popular Japanese games from this era such as Monster Hunter and Pokémon. He draws parallels from his personal life, comparing the PlayStation Portable with the impact that the Sony Walkman had on him and how it changed the way he engaged with music. Peace Walker sees Big Boss's fall into villain-hood and the development of his new worldview ("Outer Heaven") following the CIA's betrayal in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Having abandoned his nation, he now resides in Colombia, where he's approached by Vladimir Zadornov, a KGB agent masquerading as a college professor under the name of Ramón Galvez, and peace-loving high school student Paz Ortega Andrade. They ask him to save the country of Costa Rica from the CIA. The Japanese PSP title presents one of the most beautiful and loving depictions of Latin America I've seen in any video game. Big Boss isn't depicted as an outsider exploring some exotic land, but as someone who, having spent an unspecified amount of years living there but enough to have learned the language, also calls it his home. The enemy forces are invaders from the Soviet Union and the US who are using the continent as a playground during the Cold War. Gameplay is the best so far in the series. It takes what worked from MGS4 and adjusts it for a mission-based structure. The game and all the ways you can interact with its world all feel absolutely incredible. Big Boss doesn't suffer from Old Snake's elderly build, he's fast and strong. Playing it now on PC with mouse and keyboard it feels very close to MGSV. Peace Walker is an incredible work of art and one of my favorite titles in the series. It speaks to me in a profound and personal level.
