SNAKE...HAD A HARD LIFE ;_;7 Finally best game on PC
It has Metal Gear Solid 4 on it, natively playable on PC....need I say more? Yeah it also has an expansive encyclopedia and incredible artwork and other interesting bonus content, sure it also comes with Peace Walker but ultimately, the fact we got Metal Gear Solid 4 with 4k support @60fps on Steam is enough for me! I wonder if there will be a Vol. 3 to include Portable Ops+ and Acid/Acid 2?

"SHOW ME WHAT YOU'VE GOT, SNAKE!" Ready for my 8 hours of cutscenes and 5 minutes of gameplay. PEAK!
They did a phenomenal job natively porting these games to PC, especially Metal Gear Solid 4. MGS4 was specifically designed for the PS3 and its cell processor, so it is a massive feat Konami has accomplished completely porting that game to modern platforms. Seeing it running at 4K60fps is just mindblowing, considering the original was 720p30, but with large fps dips throughout. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the most impressive way a game series can conclude, actually wrapping up every loose end and providing one of the most satisfying endings in gaming. There is so much to gameplay/stealth systems and it has its wonderful cinematic presentation, it is the most Kojima game, probably only followed by Death Stranding 2. I have not played Peace Walker in this collection yet, but that is another fantastic game that mostly serves as a perfect bridge to MGSV, both in gameplay and story. There was some issue with mouse sensitivity in that game at launch, but Konami quickly put out a beta branch on steam 1-2 days after, and now (a week after) the fix has been applied to the game. So the port should be good now. This here is the "launcher" and unnecessary to install or use (which is why my playtime is low, I only launched it so I could write a review), you can just install the games directly which is how I play them. This collection is 2 fantastic games at a great price and importantly on modern platforms. With the whole series on Steam, I recommend playing all of them. It's hard to say definitely where to start, MGS Delta (the MGS3 Snake Eater remake) is a good way to get in a enjoy the series. But you could start from release order with MGS1 (or even the original Metal Gear on MSX which is also in Vol 1), I would say if you want the complete experience, doing release order is best with MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4, Peace Walker, MGSV Ground Zeroes, MGSV Phantom Pain. As for MGS3 vs Delta, that's a lot harder, I love the original and I loved playing through the remake, if you're already playing through the games in order, I would probably just play the original, however if you're wanting to just start with Delta, that is a good option as well, you should definitely play that game. Back in 2008, MGS4 was actually my first game in the series, which was confusing to say the least lol, but it is possible. Honestly Metal Gear is peak, and MGS4 holds a special place to me, so seeing it faithfully ported to PC is a dream come true, I highly recommend it, this collection, and the series as a whole.
It’s bs how they make us pay $50 then you go to play and it’s not even widescreen compatible, annoying black bars and it’s locked to 60fps max. That and the graphics are basically the same and kinda crappy in some aspects even on a nice oled monitor. It feels like we got mgs4 on pc but not a remaster. The graphics just don’t look right and I can barely adjust any settings in game. Very annoying in 2026 this should not be a thing. I’m a huge mgs fan so I bought this day one and ill continue to play it but they need to update it. If you play 32:9 probably skip until there’s compatibility.
whats the point of the launcher if you get seperate games it crashed my steam deck
Absolute Peak Thank you Lord Kojima 10/10
