Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 322.75/day in the week to Jul 15 → 6.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The Best Metal Gear game!!!
Yes.
It's peak for the most part, but the gameplay towards the end was just so unfair for a first playthrough...
Much like the collection versions of the first two games, this one does not play well with fullscreen. Definitely a minus, but other than that, a good time. Honestly I'd forgotten how good movement feels in this game. it does have its minuses, which are known, but it seems kinda unfair to leave 'em out (if someone isn't in the know) so I'll mention here:

The view is top-down, and this includes when you're using a weapon. Letting Snake aim on his own is usually the best option. Odds are good anyone you're trying to shoot isn't visible on the screen and you're just guessing. This also can prevent you knowing who can see you.
On the same note, you can't really aim up or down. Don't bother trying to shoot a camera, you'll have better luck trying to catch it in an explosion.
Silver lining is that most (if not all) cameras being destroyed doesn't cause an alarm here.
At least 2 unskippable soliloquies by the most irritating character right at the end of the game, including one 30 second one right before the final fight. Hope you liked hearing it if you need to reload.
Speaking of reloads, there isn't an easy option for it other than just backing out to the main menu (not the main menu of MGS, but the main menu of the launcher, restarting the game, and then loading.
And to wrap up, as long as we're listing stuff people should generally be aware of, for the best rankings you need to beat the game in a certain period of time - that means you need to skip every cutscene and conversation, because they still count.
Anyway, obviously listing a bunch of negatives (most, if not all of which were part of the original game) sounds like I'm trying to say it's not worth it, but no. That's just me pointing out, "Yes, these negatives absolutely exist with varying degrees of suck (in a bad way) but nevertheless, this game is a good time," and it is. So definitely recommended.
Solid game.
I loved it
