Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 395.5/day in the week to Jul 15 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Actually the goated game. First game with the third person camera type stuff and it only adds up to the experience. Not only that this also humanises Big Boss further more and got me hooked into story. Gameplay wise its the biggest revamp because it changed how CQC work. Took me some time to get used to these but it was worth it. Basically, run and hold B to slam them. Stay still and hold B, and then LT to interrogate where they will drop a lot of interesting and cool codec codes which either heal you or stuff. If you hold LT to the max, then Snake slits the throat. Aiming also was improved by a lot and playing on mouse doesn't give that controller jank anymore while aiming, fortunately. Enemy AI is also improvised and at the start, I was mildly annoyed by the lack of radar but by time, I actually enjoyed it far more. Adding more to it, alert system is basically as same as MGS2, except that enemies are a bit more agressive now. Bosses were also solid. Though I'd say that they were comparitively easier? Maybe except for The End and The Boss but somehow that dude died after I loaded my save after a few days because I was out of town lmao. Another thing I want to add is that despite the presence of third-person camera, I actually appreciated how they still let you change the cameras freely and added more to it. But it was fun using exploits against bosses lmao. Especially the Fear one. I think Sorrow would've been challenging but I was shocked to see that even animals are counted in your mass slaughter xD. Though I'd say that it was either way longer or way harder because I got detected 77 times, while in MGS1+2 both, I was detected around 50 times. Crazy gap if you ask me. I'll try it again someday but that day is very far until Konami fixes their port. One of the best moments was in finale where Boss finally opens up about her and unknowingly we learn that Ocelot might be her son. Crazy stuff if you ask me. I can also talk about how narratively it's an anti-James-Bond-Game but you'll find plethora of yt videos talking about it. It's a fun game on its own, except for minor kinks. Mb, major actually. First of all, ♥♥♥♥ Konami for this abyssmal port. First the game would not start from the launcher which is an easy fix. Then it crashes randomly which requires another 1 gigs worth of fix. Then the audio issues which make a ear torture whenever you get detected or game over happens, requires another 3 gigs worth of fix. Fine (which doesn't fix the issue again btw). 2012 MW 360 no scope compilations have less fried audio than a so-called official port. Then the worst comes, I cannot save in any meaningful way. I call codec, it connects, it cuts off. It works just fine in prologue section. It just doesn't work afterwards when you land in the zone for the second time. And then sometimes it would just crash undoing all the progress I made. 11 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours on steam and I haven't made past the factory where we find Sokolov. It's a shame because I was most excited to try this one out and I cannot play the game properly with such stupid issues compounding because it all translates to pure frustartion. I could excuse awkward controls but I have no words for such type of ♥♥♥♥. Konami, 2000s called, they want their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC port back. 1600 inr for this joke of a port. Wait for it to be fixed before purchasing it actually. This game will otherwise ♥♥♥♥ with your eyes. Soundtrack was so great if obnly it wasn't compressed. Game is great but the port is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and abyssmal.
Лучшая игра в истории человечества, вряд ли кто-то повторит этот ахуевший экспириенс.

Absolute Masterpiece
Probably the best MGS overall, worked great with mouse and keyboard. The definition of a great prequel. Great soundtrack, expected in this series.
Idk if its a linux thing but the audio desync and stutters can get pretty annoying. It was mostly in the late game but over all still playable. Classic Metal Gear for sure
