METAL GEAR & METAL GEAR 2: Solid Snake

Recommended for hardcore fans or anybody interested in the full lore experience. Really cool to see where the series all started, makes you appreciate all the references to these games in the later ones (there's a lot). Personally I used a guide for both games because I just wanted to get through them. Very old school games with obscure puzzles that really are only solvable with trial and error. I can see a 4-5 hour playtime with a guide taking triple that if you had to figure it all out for yourself. I might have done this if this port supported save states, but it doesn't. It desperately needs save states as the 'auto save' is pretty awful in both games. Still, great package that's nicely presented. Plus some cool bonus content.

The first game already has a surprising amount of what would become staples of the series, including some familiar ideas and even bits of the music. The second game takes things much further. It feels like a blueprint for what would eventually become Metal Gear Solid, with a much more developed stealth system, level design and storytelling. They're obviously rough around the edges and can become frustrating rather quickly, especially without knowing what the game expects from you. I'd recommend playing on Easy and keeping a guide nearby. You're not really here for the challenge anymore, you're here to see where the series came from. For Metal Gear fans, absolutely worth playing just to experience the genesis of the series.

Emulator'den oynayıp save state ala ala oynamak çok daha mantıklı, oyun her öldüğünüzde sizi 5dk geriye atıyor çünkü. Tek bir yerde takılıp kalırsanız her şeyi en baştan yapmanız gerekiyor. Ayrıca oyun ara ara çöküyor, bunu nasıl becerdiler bilmiyorum. İlk oyun oldukça kısa, ikinci oyun çok daha üstüne koymuş ve biraz daha uzun sürüyor. İlla oynayacaksanız Emulator'den hilelerle ya da sürekli kayıt ala ala oynamanız bu işkenceyi bir nebze azaltır. Rehber olmadan da bitirmeniz çok çok zor. Oyunu önermemenin tek sebebi steam'den oynamanın hiçbir artısı olmaması, hem launcher çöküyor, arada kontrolcü gidiyor, kolay modun pek bir artısı yok çünkü oyun çok kriptik, save state alamıyorsunuz, hile giremiyorsunuz. Satın almak yerine Emulator tercih edin. Yoksa retro oyun seviyorsanız tavsiye ederim her iki oyunu da.

Pretty Fun Gameplay Especially MG 2, Though Some In MG1 Were Unfair And Dumb And Some Of The Backtracking Was Annoying But It Was Overall Good, Along With A Really Really Good Story With It Again Being Better In MG2.
