After completing both endings and seeing most of the dialogue and art that this game has I cannot recommend it enough, It is a master class in writing and character design. The art is amazing to look at, with a unique artstyle, as well as really good sprite work for the main segments of the game, and areas mimicking old retro video games The writing is superb, everything said feels realistic, and it a truly great style of writing that borders on soothing, funny and witty, and creepy and uncomfortable. ands its truly one of the best written stories I can think of The gameplay varies between really well crafted point and click, beautifully written and interactive Visual novel, and a plethora of mini games (Such as a light rhythm game, a target practice, and gameplay similar to Faith: The Unholy trinity.) The music is the perfect blend of serene, scary, lonely, gleeful and at most of the time, beautiful. it always fits the mood perfectly, and is almost always beautifully emotional. Genuinely the best visual novel and honestly the best game in general, that ive ever played. a perfect master class of what visual novels and point and click games should aspire to be like. 20 out of 10. Play it now!!!!! Mesma....

undeniably charming, stylish, and with a wonderful ost that i'll be stealing for my own nefarious purposes (ttrpg sessions)
I can fix her using Magick
A silly, charming little game with some underlying horror tones here and there. Extremely well-made with even the smallest and most obscure of actions and choices you can do having dialogue which surprised us quite alot and made us want to divert from the main path just to see and exhaust all the dialogue, it's seriously impressive. The story is very captivating and the mystery of it all drags you in almost immediately, making you want to discover every little secret the game has to offer. Definitely worth buying and playing just to experience the magick (heh) of Mesmalie. Also, Mesmer is VERY smoochable. Worbly...
oh my god i destroyed everything in the house i am so sorry i wish that ritual would've killed me it would be a better fate than this very scrumptious it was seasoned well 10/10 I came back to 100% the game and it was the best decision i could've possibly made and I'm so glad i did. The story is absolutely phenomenal, the characters are just wonderful, and the only thing the story leaves you with is a desire for even more, i hope to god i get to see these wonderful characters again someday. The art style is also one i completely adore, the way the sprites always shift ever so slightly so they don't become boring to look at is a phenomenal touch. The amount of choices and the little details within those choices is just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wonderful i can barely put it to words, i didn't 100% the game out of some completionism, i did so because it was just that enjoyable and interesting, i was always actively clawing for something new that i had missed before. The only, ONLY complaint, is that there isn't more. I am genuinely upset to see these characters go and the true ending nearly brought me to tears just because i knew there was nothing left to see or do, i will be genuinely overjoyed to see anything new for this game, and i hope i get to see these wonderful characters in this wonderful style again soon.
I can say with great confidence that this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ phenomenal. I saw many postings of Mesmer and thought she was cute, so the game was on my radar. A friend got me a copy and I played it in a call with a group of friends. We arrived for Mesmer, stayed for Mesmer, and also stayed because we were downright hooked with the plot. The plot's great, the art style is great, Mesmer is wonderful, and I personally don't really have any problems with it. Play this game please, you won't be disappointed.
i like game
really good experience, i didn't think it would have the tone it would, nor would mesmer herself unfold in the way she would. wonderful awkwardly anxiety inducing atmosphere throughout the whole game. i got really hooked. very grounded and real conflict for how fantastical the events of the story are. some actual criticisms below (not spoiler free)
i think the extremes of both mesmer and protag could have been dialed up a little higher, the prospect of these two awkward people each with hidden evil inside the two of them killing each other in a loop appeals to me highly. i just thought that the actual drama in terms of arguments and such would be more consistent and heated, rather than the protagonist being a bit blank and having no reason to leave when the player hits get out. plus the protagonist's interesting relationship to mesmer/animal murder. they are relentless to her as well. they are a strange little thing, i like this very much. there should be more. i also feel like the game leaned very strongly after the boss fight into making mesmer truly believe the ritual would work, instead of a twisted denial and portrayal of grief that can't be resolved cleanly. it's weird she just like "yeah help me bury my friends i am now half over i'm packing my bags..." etc. just a little odd. i felt like it could have been interesting to play into the idea that her hypnosis magic was truly proficient all along, and her self denial and gaslighting that she can save them was directly related, and also such was the way she regularly traps the protagonist to still go along with the ritual time after time. i suppose it can be interpreted this way, i just feel like it isn't the intent. for the protag themself, i really was intrigued by them, which is why i felt like there not being a name reveal by the end felt a bit inane and not congruent to the themes, given mesmer did just attack them with their life before arriving (such as their deal with their roommate and the bird they killed). i don't really see the purpose of them being a player self insert, because they really are just so so weird and good. i just remembered the augmented magick sequence where we see someone inside the vial who turns into that bird-- was that their roommate? why? it felt like something with lots of potential to be recontextualized in a really moving way and it just wasn't, so it was a little half baked. ok now i sound too negative so i have to say the dev's storytelling ability is really really great. it just felt like the plot was 75%, 80% written i suppose. which is fine for what it wants to say, and it works because i am hooked on mesmer and protag's strange strange dynamic so i can't help but just wanting more, not only in a way that i am forced to imagine. the art direction and gameplay storytelling was wonderful, so i wish good luck on future works, cuz you have something really really good here. good game
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem! It had me hooked from the very first seconds with its visuals and soundtrack and within a minute the writing had completely won me over as well =) It's beautifully written - funny, natural and full of heart. I believed every single moment unfolding on the screen. I think this is the best one I've played this year! I want to become part of the coven! 😄 As Xenomorph says - I'm not a man, I'm a witch" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LA62PS-dy8 PS In the demo it was mentioned that the animals didn't stay for long because the cages wouldn't stay locked. That little explanation seems to be missing in the full release
