Start a rebellion and make the demons shake in their boots! Overthrow the evil demon rulers and their minions! Save the animals! Maybe the humans as well if they play nice. Meow a lot. (???)

This game is both incredibly fun and incredibly cute. I played through the entire game in about 15 hours (9 hours in-game time), collected every cat on each level I beat, and spitefully meowed in defiance at the final boss before shooting him with a railgun :3 A lot of fun if you really like Quake 1 and catgirls.
If you played the first quake, you must go for this one. It's impossible not to like it. It's so crazy and well done
To jest boomer shooter i grasz cat girl. Jak gracie w 4 osoby to w sumie nie wiadomo co się dzieje. Polecam.
game of the year
Квака за кошкодевочку с толпами противников, как в Серьёзном Семёне. Такое мы одобряем.
If you like Doom, Quake, and Serious Sam, you'll like this. An excellent fast paced boomer shooter. This game deserves more hype.
A Retro FPS with lotta Guns, Demons, Aliens, and CATS? (Also 350th review! :3) MeowGun: Hell Denizen is a Retro FPS developed by SusaDeBastet and running in the FTEQW engine. Which from my understanding is basically a super Quake Engine, engine. The game follows a catgirl Meowmeow as she fight against the hordes of not only demons, but also aliens packing the most insanely well rounded arsenal I've seen in a Retro FPS I've paid for. The game provides some the best unapologetic power fantasy gameplay while also at the same time balancing around that so it isn't simply mindless and still engaging. There's also plenty of cats! Gameplay of MeowGun I can best describe as... hmm... So think of those Doom mods that give the player a stupidly dense and kinda over the top arsenal that's still kinda balanced, like Project Brutality. Then turn it into a Quake game, then stuff the levels full of enemies to balance out how powerful your weapons are and that's the gameplay loop. There is a insanely dense weapon roster where each ammo type has a alternative weapon in the same slot, two kinds of shotguns, rapid bullet weapons, a grenade and rocket launcher, etc. with melee being a exception with 3 weapons. The best thing is that for the most part they fulfill their own rolls without making the other weapon obsolete. There isn't just the shotgun and the BETTER shotgun, there's actual advantages and drawbacks with each one. As such there is a equally HUGE enemy roster, I think it might have Zortch beat for the sheer amount of enemies types I've seen in a Retro FPS, at least a 3D one. As mention the enemy count is almost above the 200+ count to compensate your sheer firepower. There's also a TON of powerups to make yourself even more powerful. Ranging from the traditional invisibility, and invincibility as well as more exotic powerups like a lighting shield, and cat books that give you level-temporary buffs. Level design is also very quake-coded, down to having to ram into buttons to activate stuff and a good amount of secrets. Meowmeow is a tad more acrobatic than Ranger being able to ledge grab allowing for some more involved secret hunting. Stylewise, given the source port of the engine it's running off of, it's pretty obvious that the game has some very geometric environments as was common with the early Quake engines. Though one thing MeowGun does have over it's previous peer is the amount of color used. Even when a map is using the tried and true level theme of a techbase, it's usually lifted up thanks to it's color usage. It also helps that there are a decent amount of themed levels, like some city ones, ones in space, and some that invoked some Unreal vibes. Goes hand in hand with the semi-cartoon-y designs for the enemies along with the sheer amount of ludicrous gibs that will be there with due to your arsenal. The music also really fits the vibe in a strange way, very electronic and goes well with sending 10 billion demons and aliens back into the ground. It all mixes together to get in a really fun but never mindless flow state even on the harder difficulties. Overall, while it is on the shorter side, MeowGun: Hell Denizen is a absolute BLAST of a Retro FPS. The sheer insane amount of enemies, along with the equally ludicrous arsenal, all wrapped together with Quake's incredible movement with a tad extra is a recipe for one superb Boom Shoot experience. The over the top premise combined with the genuinely fun gameplay loop is so refreshing and it's so fun to get in a flow state that isn't simply mindless. Just tons of fun and lots of cats! I'm also honored to be in the game's credits! That was a genuinely fun surprise when replaying it for the 1.0 release! I discovered and played the game late in it's Early Access stage since I was just combing the Steam Library for Retro FPS games. Even at that stage it was enough for it to leave a impression for me to talk about it and share some my thoughts!
At first I thought MeowGun was going to be a funny reskin of Quake 1 like Brazilian Drug Dealer but it's actually a lot more distinct. The levels are very well designed and there are MANY weapons, all have an alt fire and are very satisfying to use. It's just an awesome boomer shooter by a small team and I had tons of fun with it. Please release the music on some platform.
Very fun, pretty silly, and has something I especially love which is difficulty options that let you go insane with the enemy numbers. Makes coop way more fun. I already know it's going to be good even after just 30 minutes.
very nice bomber shooter with it being nice
