Memoria Arcana

I really enjoy playing Memoria Arcana. The combination of memory game and building hands like in poker is not only creative but also incredibly engaging. While the memory aspect challenges your focus and recall, the poker element adds a layer of strategy and excitement that keeps every round interesting. What stands out most is how smoothly these two gameplay styles blend together. Neither feels out of place and they complement each other perfectly. The poker rounds bring tension and decision making into play, while the memory sections provide a refreshing change of pace and keep things dynamic. Highly recommend to try this game!

This is nice! Feels truly like a nicer memory game experience. The poker mechanics add a nice depth to the game and its decently well communicated what gives points via a in game compendium and also while just preparing to hand cards in by looking at the score precalculation. Its quite fun to finagle as much points as you can out of your revealed cards! I do wish it had some more quality of life features like giving up on a game when it clearly can't be won anymore (happened to me a few time), and some polishing to make some things more visible. For example there's this one card effect that I can handily recommend this to anyone liking memory. People that enjoyed Balatro might even also get some enjoyment out of this since there are some similarities to how you can upgrade cards with stamps and how you can buy new powers to get multipliers higher. This is a game where your enjoyment truly comes from your own skill of memorisation, which makes it uniquely fun in a way any hard won game can be, but of course also presents some early difficulties when you haven't exactly built your brain up to remember all cards you have revealed so far. Not difficult to learn, especially not with some memorisation techniques, but definitely not something you would play when you are mentally exhausted. Then again, who am I to tell you how to relax after a stressful day. This is way too long anyway. Memoria Arcana is super affordable, great quality and can provide you with tons of fun. There's variety too, so go play it!

I only had a quick look so far, looks like a pretty Balatro meets Memory. Vibe reminds of Hand of Fate also. Promising!

You easily lose track of time in this game. Nice design of the cards and overall of the game.

What a lovely indie game! I'm a big fan of the art deco/Mucha style! The overall mood of this game is very relaxing, so I can take all the time to learn the mechanics of the game without feeling frustrated. Note for folks playing: Check out the '?' book at the bottom right of the game when you're engaged in a playthrough, so you can see the best combinaisons and multipliers. I realised how bad my memory skills are ^^' However, I like this combinaison between memory and poker! I still have a lot to learn from the bonus, multipliers and the curses, but it's nice to see lots of diversity in the matches. If you're into deckbuilding games/card games, and/or a math person, you'll love this game! Otherwise do not worry, the instructions and different playthrough will slowly but surely give you the confidence to score best :)

Great little brain workout with a nice twist! The game mechanics are well explained, and the overall game flow feels very relaxing. Even with all the little perks and power-ups, it can become quite challenging when dodging the different curses :)

A really nice twist on classic memory games. Runs feel different thanks to modifiers and curses, and the tarot-style visuals fit perfectly. It’s easy to get into, but still makes you think. Not super deep and can get a bit repetitive over time, but for a small indie game it’s surprisingly engaging. Recommended if you want something chill but not brainless.
