I haven't completed the game yet, but I've played long enough, so I can write a review. So what is Memori? Memori is basically a precision platformer inspired by the famous game Celeste (which is absolutely one of my all time favorites!). Is it a Celeste clone? I would say, definitely NO! To me, no game which is like Celeste, is a Celeste clone because precision platformers have become a genre of its own and more and more games like it are popping up (which I like!). I'm not even sure if Celeste is the first game of this kind, but I think it is. Precision platformers are my favorite genre (especially those which contain hidden collectibles). Memori has nice Pixel Art, the gameplay feels smooth. Overall, the game seems to be quite polished. I'm not a big fan of heavy metal music, but that's not a problem for me. I guess the music fits the dark theme of this game. And I know this game is still in Early Access status, so there may be some changes in the future.
I think the first 2–3 chapters should be a bit easier, and the controls could be tighter, but overall it's a good experience. Definitely has potential to cook in Early Access. :)
It's a super challenging precision platformer, but with some really short levels/rooms to make progress feel achievable. Really well done.
great experience - clean visuals, fair movement and most importantly, satisfying difficulty wise. finished 3 chapters and having a blast so far.
Super challenging nearly pixel perfect precision platformer. My left thumb hurts and I'm not good at this but I feel accomplished when I make progress. I managed to finish chapter 1. Chapter 2 has introduced some more difficult challenges and I'm stuck and need to take a break. I see the solution, now it's down to execution. I think fans of this genre will love this game. My only nitpick is with the options menu not being very intuitive to navigate.
This is Masterpiece, thanks for the contribution to the gaming world. <3
this game is for masochists and i love it! :D 62 minutes of playtime over 500 deaths :))) i might also just suck, but if you love a challenge this game is crazy fun! its most comparable to Celeste i think. its also crazy to believe that this game was made by a single dev. Kudos to you PracticalNPC!
Great precision platformer, I've never played Celeste, but I've heard Memori is similar. The pixel art is carefully made with each chapter containing unique obstacles biomes and mechanics.
👍
loving the game so far! :)
