While Medieval Dynasty has a solid foundation, it still lacks in several important areas that make the overall experience feel a bit bare-bones. - Housing and settlers feel unnecessarily restrictive. A house can only have one man and one woman living in it, even if it has three or four available beds. That feels completely counterintuitive. - Progression ends up being a repetitive grind. Gather resources, craft items, sell them, repeat. It's a decent gameplay loop at first, but there isn't enough variety of other things to do in Medieval Dynasty. - The world apparently also feels lacking. While it's large, it doesn't have much ambience or personality. Many areas look and feel the same, and overall, the world just doesnt look great. The core gameplay is enjoyable, but it needs more polish, better progression, and a world that looks better, feels more alive and less repetetive. It is still a great buy on Discount (e.g. -50%) and can be fun.
Fun Game! building is great and exploring great also, a little bit of a learning curve to get all the mechainics down but a good way not overburden in understadnnig

I enjoy this game, i find it entertaining and the atmosphere is lovely, but some things that took me from blind, "I love this and I'm obsessed with it" to just "I really like it, but it has its faults" is 1) This is a small one, but the main story quest seems to take eons to progress past stage 1. I'm on year 3 having built almost everything and I'm still on story step 1: Stay Vigilant. :/. The stagnation of the story does not in any way match how easily you can progress building a town. 2) THE. WALKING. Time is really precious in this game, and the fact there is no fast travel is just.....mind boggling when quests want you to traverse the entire world to bring them a mug of beer or something stupid. Yes, you can fast travel if you pay a waggoneer, but I now have to hike to the wagon and pick 1 of 3 places. I've just picked up a quest in BFE nowhere east of klonica that is yet ANOTHER fetch quest. A fetch quest. In BFE. So now I've walked the 1000m back to klonica only to arrive at precisely 2330 so the NPC I could buy a sword from went to bed. For some reason I can't wake up NPCs. So this entire quest is costing a huge chunk of in game time between walking and now having to wait to get supplies because not only can I not fast travel, but I can't use other towns work stations, and I have hike to the outskirts of the town's borders to build some sticks so I can waste the next 8 hours of the season. At this point I just gave up and turned the game off because it's annoying.
