Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game is good.
Best sandbox Mechwarrior game made, with tons of replayability.
incredible game, took me ~95 hours to go through the campaign and all the dlcs and there's still plenty more to do. Highly recommend playing vanilla until you get sick of the limitations of the mech customization then looking into YAML and it's sub mods, the expanded customization and added mechs adds an insane amount of replayability and toys to blow up enemies with. If you got a really powerful PC von biomes is another solid mod, however even with my specs listed in the review (rtx 5070 and ryzen 5800x3d), von biomes drops my frames down from ~180-240 fps to sub 30 very often. As well as the mod author allegedly not taking criticism well and having a habit of touching systems and graphics that have nothing to do with a simple biome/map mod... It's a similar issue with his other mod vonHUD. I would recommend getting precision HUD and simple zoom for 90% of the features of vonHUD with practically 0 performance impact. Ultravisuals and weather + cockpit glass is a solid combo as well to enhance the game graphically with minor performance costs for modern gaming pc's. Overall I highly recommend getting the game and all DLC's on sale, the DLC's are not post game and retroactively adds content to the timeline and the game. Kestrel lancers and heros of the inner sphere are the 2 dlc's I'd say is "mandatory", and chaos reigns/shadow of kerensky are HIGHLY recommended and really fill out the end game with the clan invasion and clan tech. The rest of the dlcs are still very good and add a good amount of content but aren't quite as impactful.

There are really small things about this game that just feel rushed and unpolished. Things that should have been fixed by now. With that said, it is still a fun and enjoyable game.
its a delight for a mech game if you want a mech game and need that itch scratch for the slow lumbering battles this will scratch it and you know it
Still feels very early into the game even with the amount of hours i have in it, Overal experience is pretty good with minor gripes in game design the feeling of piloting a mech is amazing, new gear slowly gets better with time but availability of high grade gear stays about the same, so getting to load a mech with all level 5 gear feels like youre at the peak power without giving you a kill anything in seconds button, the fights feel great with most mechs, if youre using them correctally, some are far more hard than others, especially using melee focused mechs the biggest cons is getting started, it can feel like a drag where youre trapped into using bad mechs that get damaged easily and you barely scrap through mission without most of them blowing up, only to spend most of what you got on repairs, this gets better with time but some of the others issues are unbalanced and id say some what stupid missions and the NPC pilots you work with being extremely stupid, infiltration missions are time sinks that take too long for stuff to go wrong easily and fast, and with no mid-mission saves, it feels like a drudge just to get through on the games set terms, and i forget the mission type, but you have to blow up multiple(4 to 6?) objectives on a huge map, which all have 3 to 5 mechs guarding them, where you get easily overwhelmed and cannot simply run away from each fight without just getting killed from behind, you are told to not hold attention on the enemy guards but they make you pay attention to them no matter what, but its not as bad as infiltration once you have a good lance of mechs, feeling like a tactical test the games performance is fairly hefty, with it making my pc heat up enough for me to get better fans, no other game has done that yet. but also it makes the game look amazing, the designs are really solid and takes inspiration from other battletech and mechwarrior titles and media, and the set pieces really give the vibe of a universe centered around constant endless giant robot war. my favorite mechs are the corsair, the dragon, the vulcan, and the firestarter shoutout to my boy Leon Freeman that dudes always got my ass
This version of along with all the downloadable content IS what I've been waiting 40 years for someone to make for the Battletech universe. It has the entire Inner sphere to explore with you mercenary company! The battles are fun and engaging, some are down right irritating and hard to complete for me. The game has storyline content if you want that or career mode if you want to forge your own direction. There is a large diversity of mechs as you are able to travel the inner sphere to collect your favorites. Mechs are customizable. Piranha Games Inc. has just done a good job? I gotta give em credit where so so many others have failed over the decades. On the technical side (not my thing people) I had a little trouble getting it running at first (fatal errors from my video card driver) but once changed my settings, I've had zero crashes. I've heard it uses a unity engine but I don't know for sure. If Battletech is YOUR THING. This is a must buy. It beats all the other programs and competition I've seen.
Rootin tootin mecha shooting with a lot of different mods from the community, a lot of fun in multiplayer.
Very fun and interesting. It is great mercenary sandbox in the well established Battletech universe. If you are searching for an entertaining mech game that does not boil into 'We have to kill god Shinji' and want to spend most of the time optimising your war mashine loadout in a garage then this title is for you. With all that comes peak soundtrack. DLCs are great value and provide additional content with nice story campaigns. Only cons that I see are: - Pathfinding of enemies and friendlies - Main storyline is just a vechicle for sandbox - When lightshow kicks in, the optimisation goes to hell - Clanners can go and do a Highlander burrial off a bridge
It's fun, and challenging.
