Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good game but I wish Co-op wasn't so clearly rushed and let players use their own mech saves. I know mods exist but that shouldn't be the solution! I hope the next Mechwarrior will have full on Co-op or that they're working on a Co-op overhaul.
big. stompy. robots.
In MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, you don't control the mech, per se; you control the pilot whose awareness of his mech's speed, direction, and position of its turrets in relationship to its legs are fundamental to success on the battlefield. This is a "sim" game that puts you into the cockpit of a towering 65-ton war machine strapped with enough firepower to level a small city within minutes. Outside of combat, you manage a mercenary company where your duties include hiring pilots, buying and equipping mechs, and negotiate contracts from various factions. The combat is excellent. Some mechs are better equipped for close-range combat, others for long-range engagements -- your skill as a pilot stems from your ability to maintain an appropriate distance from an enemy while remaining in constant motion to avoid taking hits. Additionally, your evasive maneuvering must be carried out at such an angle where you're able to point your weapons at the enemy and protect your vulnerable rear from enemy fire. While the combat is stellar, many aspects of the game outside of combat are rough. Mech customization is particularly disappointing. You can't swap limbs or cockpits or armor plates... nothing like that. The only major thing that can be altered on a mechs is the weaponry and even then the game designates the size and weapon type (missile, laser, ballistic) of each weapon hardpoint. This is in addition to an overall weight limit each mech can equip. The devs included dozens of mechs, but once separated into a handful of general roles (ie. long-range missile mech, brawler mech, fast burst damage mech, etc.), one mech is difficult to distinguish from another. When I think of mech games, I think of customizing, tinkering, and min-maxing -- this is below expectations. (Note: there are player-made mods that may add customization options and flesh out this aspect of the game, but I did not try them.) The campaign story is a generic tale of revenge that I did not find engaging. Missions can get repetitive. The graphics and audio are both pretty good. Nothing memorable, but nothing to complain about. Overall, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries has satisfying and engaging combat, but drops the ball in terms of mech customization and it's single-player campaign. If you've seen the trailers and this game looks interesting, I'd say it's worth trying, but wait until it's on sale.

Bought on DD, beat the vanilla campaign in about 70 hours. The DLC is really over priced so keep that in mind. Play with friends, it's so much better. The team AI is rough. You'll be at the end of the game and 2 of your AI are just spinning in circles still
great game weapons feel good to use, mechs feel good, and overall the combat is balanced. yes the AI is stupid but you need to command your lance to fight them if you want them to fight dont stand infront of them. no need for mods. dlcs make the game amazing recomend them. i played over 100 hours without them the game is still fun. WARNiNG IT IS HARD TO RUN FOR CERTAIN COMPUTERS. may crash have fun
Futurystyka
Probably the most fun you can have in gaming right now. buy the game with all the DLC, you wont be disappointed.
Most mechs are slow terribly unwieldy pieces of metal (with exceptions all hail the locust ) , there not Gundam or armoured core this is walking weapons platform and it shows ,feel the weight feel the power buy a Battlemaster today! Overall big fan of the Inner Sphere politics some jobs make you feel like a true bastard and some like a hero it really captures that mercenary dilemma and the world of BattleTech . Some personal favourites for flavour : Light : The Locust - speed is GOD. The Jenner - surprisingly powerful for a light mech . Medium : The Hunchback - AC 20 be upon ye . The Blackjack - surprisingly good especially with pure lasers . Heavy : The Warhammer - put 2 PPC-X's on em you will overheat constantly but it is absolutely worth it . The Archer - make em fight in the shade of the LRM barrage . Assault : The Battlemaster - Best Assault mech I will die in this hill! The Atlas - Its on the cover for a reason. That's all it is a good game if you like big Mech , have a good day and Peace of Blake be with you :)
Reccommendation
Short answer: triple 'yes' , way better game, than those so-called (but not so- earned) AAA, AAAA, AAAAA+ and super-square-AAAAAAAAAA+ - games (I mean: are we S&P, rating a country or a financial product?)
'Warning'
In my personal case, this game is really addictive.
Disclaimer
This is the first time, I ever cared about formatting my feedback on a game, this sums it up nicely.
Background
One of the first 3d Games i ever played was MW3 back in the 90s and the BattleTech series as well as the lore, the games and the books around it never failed to amaze me. MW5 Mercs is a true BattleTech game, even though it's considered apocryphical content.
short game review
The game mechanics are really good, the vanilla story and all DLCs cought me and never let me go. It is a prime example for a game placed in an existing universe, made by people who love the lore and what they are doing. Thanks to the developers.
Quirks
sometimes in the early stages, the game had its quirks and crashes, but who am I to complain, if the developers are doing their best and fix those unnerving issues. there were also times, when the game was stuttering like someone asking another person out for the first time in their life. But as we all got better on this, the developers put effort in it and fixed it.
correlation
I really enjoyed the content presented by MW5 Mercs (with all DLCs), especially when you play MW5 - Clans https://store.steampowered.com/app/2000890/MechWarrior_5_Clans/ with all DLCs as well, which really sucked me in (story) and correlated nicely. https://store.steampowered.com/app/637090/BATTLETECH/ got my strategy love. all of them are - from my personal point of view - very recommandable.
Last but not least:
A very BIG thank you to the very active modding community, who deliver updates for their own mods days after a major release. Many SW-companies could learn a lot from you.
