MECHBLAZE

●良かった点 １：ヴァルケンの操作が好きだったのですぐに馴染む事ができた。ヴァルケンよりやや楽 ２：複数から選べる武器のチョイスで攻略法が変わる ３：クリア後の武器解禁もあり繰り返し楽しめる ４：チュートリアルもありゲーム性や難易度バランスも丁度良かった ●ここがちょっと・・・な点 １：バルカイザー（スーパーロボット）が登場、世界観を統一して欲しかった。 　　※BGMもこの時だけ印象が違う ２：ヴァルケンみたいな戦闘中の会話演出が無い、キャラ絵も無いので寂しい ロボゲー好きなら誰でも楽しめると思います。 お勧め！！

"Mechblaze" - in a strange way - is a more accurate mech-simulation than so many others I've played, especially modern 3D variants. In "Mechblaze" instead, the mech feels the way a mech should feel in my opinion: heavy, armored, cramped with weapons, but also very vulnerable, because of its slowness. In "Mechblaze" we control one of those mechs, moving in an industrial, beautiful side-scrolling world using three wepons we chose from the loadout to defeat countless enemies of all kind, being it other mechs, drones, and oversized bosses. And its a pleasure to navigate, using the jetpack to move out of bullets just to find yourself falling down after the jetpack energy is empty. Its a pleasure to activate the shield, but also not to use it all to often because it breaks away. Its a real reward to get one of those wepon upgrades, making the laser more powerful or the standard weapon. There is no upgrade or customize your mech - "Mechblaze" is meant to conjure the action I remember from some Amiga classics. They are classics for a reason, and so became "Mechblaze" for me.

A fun run and gun shooter that was obviously inspired by Assault Suits Vulken (Cybernator in English) with just a touch of super contra and the animation Mazinger. It doesn't quite live up to the original games that inspired it with some of the controls, particularly aiming, and decisions add rapidly respawning enemies on certain levels adding more annoyance than enjoyment. Being able to customize your weapon loadout at the start of the game adds some depth but it would have been nice if it was possible to swap some of the weapons as you progress. Overall though it is decent effort that is well worth the price if you enjoy the gameplay and aesthetics of 90s run and gun shooters.

Edit i am updating this review because the game works on the Steam Deck and it's pretty fun for what it is. it's a mech contra-like with unforgiving gameplay and mediocre overall presentation. I think it's pretty fun though, especially on handheld. Only worth the cost of a cup of coffee though.

好玩到痒

Excellent run and gun from the Doujin gods Astro Port. Nice gameplay variety with different options for your primary and secondary weapons. Nice selection of bosses to combat throughout the stages on offer.
