MECH PUNK

I'd be willing to give this game more of a shot if it didn't front-load your experience with terrible AI images (not disclosed through Steam's disclosure section). Beyond that, the achievement images are Generative AI and I suspect that many of the textures you see in the game are Generative AI as well. Seeing them constantly while learning to play pissed me off enough to uninstall. I'll be learning to play Golden Light but will never return to this one.

As much as I like Mr. Pink as a game dev, this is just not it. I’m not really one to argue about how a game controls, but this game’s controls are just annoying. The 3D models of the game are alright, however I down right hate the use of Generative A.I. for the art work.

This game's just kinda ugly to the point of being completely impenetrable. I'm not opposed to art that isn't aesthetically pleasing, but at every turn it feels like MECH_PUNK is... just ugly for the sake of it. Maybe there's something interesting there, but it's not the sort of game I'd ever recommend to anyone. Some of the first things the game shows are atrociously bad-looking AI-generated images, and nothing gets any more comprehensible from there. I'd have played longer to try to get a grasp on what the game is going for, but every second is an eyesore and I can't play a game that isn't willing to kinda meet me halfway, I guess.

It is *not* cruelty squad fyi. It is, however, beautiful, to me. The frantic combat is fun and you can always take a break and just chill in your cockpit. I don't know if this developer is emotionally disturbed or what, but he has made a unique game, and I love it for what it is. I hope the dev continues making stuff <3
