the Universe has been invaded by an interdimensional terrorist group called Bokor. Travelling through the spirals of Multiverso, Bokor has set up a base on our planet, with the intention of sucking all the vital energy out of it.
Most of the interplanetary races that have tried to defeat it have failed. On the contrary, others have formed an alliance with Bokor, with the illusion of being rewarded.
The operation “Riding a Wormhole” is the last chance of survival for our Universe: a suicide mission which consists in entering the solar system, where Bokor’s leader resides, and attacking him with an array of weapons specially designed to kill him.
chances Of Surviving Are Low.You are the captain of the “Human Spacial Navy” and you have volunteered for this crazy mission.
Captain! You are the last chance for all the races of this Universe! Are you ready to face the danger and risk your life for the safety of of your race and all the others? [/quote]

While I can't say this is a bad game, I can't really say it is a good game either. So far I have only played ten minutes of this, and in that ten minutes I REALLY enjoyed the game, however I was able to find a couple flaws. For example, there is no storyline. I know this sounds weird because in these types of games you don't need a storyline, however I didn't fully understand what do to. What I understood was that all enemies will blow up if you go near them, and that is really it. Shooting doesn't seem to do anything. Also, the models aren't the best, I mean the closest thing I can describe the enemies to are the bullets from the mario racing games, and it doesn't help that (what I take is supposed to be the windsheild) looks like an eye. However, again, I cannot say this is a bad game. It is early access, and to top that it is less than a dollar. To me, it was worth a shot, and I am happy with my dollar investment.
So there is a lot to say about this game, at the beginning i buyed the game because the idea was to buy a very skill/ability dependent and challenging game to play with my brother. the game's graphics is not absurde or crisis-like but he has all that he needs, this isn't a game born to have a beatiful visual, this is born to challenge you, stage after stage, world after world. the first 10 min with my brother was like:"meh, it's cool but there isn't anything special...", well at 15 min in the game, when the difficulty started to be pretty challenging, me and my brother were:"wow this is cool and hard but i'm better than you, how about a challenge?"; we made 2 profile on the same game and we started tryhard to finish all the game and his achievement, after the full finish of the game i was like:"let me see how much time we spend on this game..." i looked the timer and there was 150 hours so i decided to make a good review, so what can i say about this pure skill game... it's fantastic in his context, very hard(very very very very hard) but also not too much frustrating, the controls are very fluid and there is also a lot of things too unlock(spaceship, powerups, guns, etc.) so you can adapt your play style to your ship and personalize your expirience. the artistic side is very good too, the ship are well designed, the music is very good. it's all like an old 8-bit game like asteroid made in 2k17; the only cons is the story... it's not very structurated and not well telled... but it's not a big problem for the gameplay the vote is: Gameplay 8.5/10 Story: 2/10 Music: 8/10 Graphics: 7/10 Challenge: 9.5/10 Unlockable 7.5/10 Final Vote: 8/10 well done starworkGC!!
Ok, there's alot to tell.. First of all, this game is pretty nice and enjoyable, it's preatty simple by now but still the level of challenge is pretty high and the difference in ships and enemies push the player to try lot of combinations for different levels, the powerups adds alot of combinations to the game. Still... the game is not yet ok for quite some reasons, like some balance, it's a bit TOO simple and it still needs some enhancement to the graphics... but hey... it's less than 1 buck, I say give it a shot, you might find something more than worth when it's out of the early access.
Galactic Fighters is a very badly made third person rear view low poly arcade shoot 'em up. You fly behind a spaceship which you can move up, down, left or right (but not forwards or backwards) as you endlessly fly forward in a little box. Enemies come to attack you, but fortunately they only attack from the same invisible square tunnel box you are flying in, so you can shoot them. Yeah, this is not Wing Commander. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Galactic Fighters has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for starting the game (something that will make you want to immediately stop the game), trivial to achieve, but less than 6 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a modest spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, and isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 6 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother engaging with this game? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game. That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with little merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Galactic Fighters is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
I follow Galactic Fighters since the demo release. I can say that for being a game developed from an indie team, it's not bad. It only costs 1 euro, it's worth a try. I trust the developers, they have already released two updates in about a month, keeping the project alive and active. The basic idea is good, I think the GUI needs to be improved (HUD) to make it more active and engaging. The gameplay is not bad, it should be improved in some aspects such as: damage indicators, and stuff like that which helps the game. Keep on the great work guys. I have a few questions for developers tho : What are those scores at the end of a game? Will you implement those scores in the next patch? Is it only me or the game gets buggy when i try to change resolution?
