About
A voxel-based first-person roguelite miner set in an alternate future where the Cold War never ended.
You take on the role of a convict forced to labor in a space prison.
Fly out into the machine infested asteroid field and gather resources to pay off your debt.
Use the tools at your disposal to carve, break and tear out chunks of ore from the asteroids, while fighting hostile drones deadset to claim all the resources for their corporate overlords.
A fully dynamic and physics based environment allows you to mine the asteroids as you see fit, aggressively tear out large chunks or meticulously carve out each ore deposit with pinpoint precision.
Forget about health bars, much like the asteroids the enemies are fully destructible too. Shoot out their cores and watch them fall limp or even explode if you hit something volatile!
Take your earnings and reinvest them into the worn down drone you are provided, choose between improving your drone's endurance, it's tools or even the barge itself so you may reach deeper into the asteroid belt.
This game is made on a fully custom-made voxel-based "thermite" game engine.
Everything you see was coded by our team from scratch.
This game is a student project made by a team of 16 aspiring game developers at Breda University of Applied Sciences. Our goal with this project is to showcase our technical skills and learn along the way! That being said, unexpected behavior or crashes are prone to happen. This game is currently in development and will receive a couple of updates to adress issues/bugs.
We hope you enjoy the experience!

Very simple, but very satisfying loop. Definitely had some misconceptions while playing it but overall the experience is nice for a casual mining sim. My few points of feedback is to have, well, more feedback. A sound when an item is collected, some noise to confirm you are going back to your base (or visual) and some way to tell what exactly it is that you are mining. While I was able to eventually connect the dots, I think it would just be nice additions. Excited to see more updates from the team! Good work!

Deep Rock Galactic
greatest game ever created
I have a craving for space scavenging/mining games and this one scratched an afternoon itch for one. A good value for a free game from a student it looks like. I hope the dev is able/willing to push it further as what is here is a good start and I hope to come back for more content and more challenging space mining. Any feedback I have is mostly just adding more and adding a vsync option as the menu makes my fans try and join the drone in space.

I enjoyed the game, both resets and mining loops are fun. But the idea of storage between runs is more limiting than it needs to be and can be very punishing if upgrade cost is miscalculated. Miscalculation happened to me many times as I played it as a casual player, enjoying the game more than actually paying attention to costs.
