Do you remember the MechWarrior game on the Sega Genesis, the one that was so damn hard, but basically Jungle Strike in a Mad Cat/Timberwolf? This is like that but more fleshed out, better, and not as hard. Mechs and Tanks and wheeled vehicles all feel different; just depends on if you want to be super fast or big and literally tanky; in some stuff, you're going to get hit a lot and take it, other stuff you'll be all over the place. After awhile, you'll be able to fight either way. Tons of weapon combos and I can't wait to see the tier 4/5 stuff. Graphics are like a good flash game, the lighting really sells it. I like how easy it is to tell what is going on, but also that you can zoom in and see all of the little details before you roll in. Soundtrack is like...uh, EnigmaTNG, which means it fits perfect for the game and you'll hear the same stuff over and over but that's fine; it's still hella early access. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if EnigmaTNG was the one behind it. So yeah, well worth the $10. Play the demo at least.
Pretty nice game for a very low price.
finally some fun top down shooting like the good old days, balance doesn't matter becasue everything is just so cool
Quite amazing destructive mech game with well balanced levels, and weapons you use more then once
games based
Many guns, many platforms - if there is still buildings standing when done fighting - you havent brought enough gun, son.
Cozy mech game
What a surprisingly deep game. Great gameplay and customization. Took about 6 hours to complete what is currently available as the campaign. Core systems and gameplay are all very stable and I didn't find any bugs or glitches. I think the EA period is just to continue adding new content. Already has workshop support too. $10 is more than a fair price for what is here. No complaints, these devs did a helluva job!
Sweet blend of custom mech / simple era pixel top down shooter game with smoothed out controls, physics and graphics. Great progression upgrade system for weapons and new vehicles unlocks as well. The ability to use whatever you unlocked to mix and match vehicles, weapons and tactics makes replaying mission fun. To take it a little deeper the Devs added a nice bit in the physics and real world limits into the game. Not all vehicles can use all weapons. A light scout truck can't run heavy hardpoints or energy based weapons. When you run a hover tank weapon recoil become something to take note of as it will push you around if not accounted for. Some weapons like a shotgun have very low penetration of walls unlike a gauss rifle deep pin hole punch or a rockets larger AOE chunk. Again all adding into the replaying of mission for extra rewards and moving getting resources needed to you deeper into the unlocks and upgrades. Very fun, properly simple but complex enough at the same time to be entertaining for a very long time.
INDOMITABLE HUMAN SPIRIT simulator. DOOM with mechs.
