MazM: Jekyll and Hyde

I can definietly recommend it to people who are a fan of games based on other media, but also to those who never heard of this book beforehand (Its me). If accuracy to the original material is important to you - This is the game for you. The artstyle and artwork are very fitting too and it`s nice to look at it, simple but maybe that`s the charm. The only issue one could see, are the character designs of Mr. Hyde and Mr Enfield but I personally, am not even complainig. Overall, I had alot of fun, on this short journey! I hope MazM: The Phantom of Opera, will make me feel similar way.

графика приятная, но спрайты слишком часто повторяются. звуковое сопровождение очень низкого качества, что в такого рода играх критично. история интересная (но это заслуга не разработчиков игры), а реализация того, как она подается плоха из-за примитивности геймплейных решений. мини игры простые и очень душные. такие функции как журнал и улики бесполезны, за все прохождение можно ни разу ими не воспользоваться и ничего не потерять. метки на карте разбросаны нелогично (пример - парадный вход в особняк в одном районе, черный вход - в другом). игра проходится за 3-4 часа, учитывая заторможенность некоторых механик. сейчас покупать даже по скидке не стал бы. уверен, что лучше просто прочитать историю в оригинале.

The game is follows Robert Louis Stevenson's novel 'Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde', a retelling and visualising the plot of the original novella. Growing Seeds excelled in creating a gloomy atmosphere along with capturing the gothic vibes of Stevenson's novella, both through environment and character design. The art is excellent, like many of their other games, aesthetic and mood is something the developers have a good grasp of. I especially enjoy Mr Hyde's character design, and keeping the 'Mr seek' pun from the novella is a detail I quite enjoy. I recommend this to people who have read the original, and wished to experience it in another form and those who would are unable to read the original novella. MaZM's Jekyll and Hyde is a linear narrative game, so I didn't expect much in its mechanic when playing the game. And if that's how its intended to be played then it is what it is. Overall this is a great experience for those who want to explore the gothic literature genre

An amazing mystery and engaging story. The addition of a few bits about the Victorian Era where the game takes place was a nice touch!
