Cool idea but ultimately not very interesting to play, it gets boring relatively quickly. Progression feels aimless because you don't actually know how or when you unlock new things (or at least I can't figure it out). Unlockable characters don't really introduce anything new since the only difference is the starting weapon. The UI is unpleasant to use. The buttons don't stand out well, they're not highlighted well when selected and they're extremely spread out on opposite ends of the screen which maximises mouse travel distance for no reason. Some of them are also small (e.g. difficulty selection). This combination makes the menus, which should be simple, feel overly cumbersome. I love that this game tries something new and if it was cheaper I would probably be more charitable, but selling this for 10€ at full price is outright criminal.
Pretty disappointing, especially for the $10 asking price. I was expecting more from the Luck Be a Landlord dev. There's only a handful of levels and 5 difficulties. Characters only differ in the item they start with. Item balance doesn't seem great. The popcorn passive seems really good compared to a lot of other passive options. A lot of passive upgrades feel too inconsequential compared to weapon upgrades. A neat idea, sort of like Pac-Man meets Vampire Survivors with a dash of Snake, but there needs to be more to it, especially when you're charging double the price of VS.
As close to an unfinished game as it gets without being actually unfinished. 4 levels, 2 enemy types, 1 boss that is just a larger one of the enemy types. That's it. A bunch of unlockable items, many of which aren't especially useful. Unlockable characters that only differ by starting item, so they are all interchangeable. In their 1.0 release notes the developer notes that the game didn't sell well, which more or less backs up the pseudo unfinished state of the game. It's a shame, the game has solid bones but needs more meat.
EEEE THIS GAME IS SO GOOD!!!!1!!! Imagine Pacman + Superhot + a roguelike autobattler and you pretty much get the gist addictive like you wouldn't believe, fun as hell and the production values are EXCELLENT (this games OST will live in your head) lots of cool powerups and also lots of cute characters that might actually lean towards your playstyle better (LUNA MAINS RISE UP!) just an incredible game and right now its on sale WHY ARE YOU STILL READING GO BUY IT! edit: im taking some points off because this game has no manual, if you wanna learn all the powerups and THE ACTUAL WIN CONDITIONS, you need to check out the community guides
Way too simplistic. Just unlock the second level, and then play with each character at difficulty 5, just running in a loop around the map and you are done. No need to try other levels because there doesn't seem to be anything new to see. They're all the same, with just a different layout. The unlocks are mostly forgettable as well
It's alright. Not particularly engaging after a couple of hours, but if you're looking for something to mindlessly do while listening to a podcast - this fits the bill
with all of the roguelite survivors games that been around since vampire survivors it is very nice to see one game come up with a creative twist on it and have the playfield reflect the old one screen maze games like pacman. it's also only move when you do so you can stop and think about your next moves and yes , when you're holding any directions the game is quite fast during that time. there is not any gameplay elements that have not been in a already very popular game yet but the way that maze mice execute it's gameplay is well done. it's just work. so , get your mouse ready and fight those cats.
I'm enjoying this game a lot. Trying to win as each of the different starting mice is a fun challenge, especially with some of the weaker items. I like the mechanic of time only moving when you do, since it makes it easy to think through your routing and not get punished for a decision you don't have time to consider. I like all the variation with the various upgrades, and I like the rate at which they unlock. The music is really good, and I like the maze layouts other than the racetrack. There isn't a ton of enemy variation, but I think each of the two enemies fills a purpose and you don't really need more. There are a couple of small gripes I have. Not every unlock is balanced against the others, and that's fine, but some feel so awful to pick up. I also wish it wouldn't force you to pick up a new item mid run. There are times when it offers you 3 new items, and those times can irrecoverably mess up your build if you are forced to permanently forego something like the ability to heal your mouse. An option to skip an item pickup after you are presented with options might also fix this? The bosses are pretty cheesable, since if you don't pick up any large xp orbs, it won't spawn any new cats to chase you. If you kill all the cats chasing you, you are left with just you and the bosses which you can kite forever by just going back and forth through the pacman doors on the left and right side of the screen.
玩法过于单调了,没什么意思。
