Saber Survivors

It's a fun game and different from other roguelikes I played before. Instead of attack, all you need in this game is defend. A good different, actually. I like it. But that's it? I hope the dev slowly insert more things, maybe new characters or stages. even a shop for upgrades or new weapons. You know, roguelike things. As for now, tho I feel it a bit repetitive, I do enjoy the game.

Neat little game. Took me a while to realise you can get some powerups by making building blow up. I'd like more ways to find power ups Otherwise its honestly really good and priced more than fair. I'm big on refunds haha but this is worth supporting. Love all the nods to Star wars. Suggestion, left click sabre melee attack (or just auto) right click to block/deflect and space to dash.

不好玩，缺点太多了。 首先是这个游戏的弹反根本不配叫做弹反，弹反明明是高风险高收益的即时反应动作，像这种按住鼠标左键就能一直弹的是诺基亚上面的打砖块吧？ 然后是写的是rogue游戏，游戏里没有任何能赚钱的东西，也没有商店，可以说跟rougue完全沾不上边，每局游戏都没有提升，重复游玩价值低。 也没有其他人物，地图，局内能选的升级来来去去也就这么几个，一局游戏平均时长最多十来分钟就打不过了，感觉就是一个半成品demo拿出来卖的，

it's quite challenging than the rest of its genre. the early game are the hardest part, especially the bosses. some of the bullet and the bosses are little bit tricky to dodge but after you know how to build properly, it's so much fun and the bullet hell begin at the end of the game just to survive! i hope they added configuration settings, my core memories always use space for dash XD

A very unassuming little gem. With the progression update, you can now try out different characters and a variety of play styles. Gameplay feels smooth and rewarding, especially against the latter bosses.

PRO - different take on the survivors genre , parry and deflecting as core mechanic NEUTRAL - only two levels / there's no end of a run : after you beat the timer it's automatically infinite mode CONS - collecting money for meta upgrade takes forever / gets soon very repetitive / broken achievements

+ Unique concept for this type of game. + The game is cheap as dirt. - Repetitive, not a lot of variation between runs. - Grindy, you barely get gold and everything is expensive. - Unlockable characters need to be bought after unlocking them.

I can't believe they ripped off Space Balls

Saber Survivors is a twin-stick horde survival roguelite with somewhat unique gameplay. Rather than having an assortment of auto-attacks, your primary means of offense is to defend and most powers are tied to deflections. The game is light on content, relying on a long economy grind for longevity, but the main mechanics are solid enough to make it feel worth a purchase. Due to the nature of the game, practically every enemy uses ranged attacks. This makes the most basic of mobs significantly more dangerous than their counterparts in similar games. The challenge escalates even further when bosses show up. Their high damage makes them too dangerous to ignore, but concentrating on them alone will leave you open to attacks from the rest of the horde. The game has only 2 levels and both feature the same enemies with different skins. They do at least have unique hazards. The amount of attacks is relatively small, but they're different enough that it doesn't feel like much of an issue. That said, there does not appear to be a limit on how many you can take, and being able to potentially take everything on every run means you don't really get a sense of build variety. Those who take joy in planning builds will not find it here. There are a total of 10 characters, all of which are Star Wars parodies. You need to complete grindy achievements to unlock the option to purchase most of these characters. The prices vary with the cheapest being 200 coins and the most expensive being 1500. For reference, I earned approximately 75 coins in runs where I survived for around 10 minutes. Coins can also be spent on permanent upgrades and the prices there escalate quickly. This is a very grindy game. Saber Survivors is pretty challenging and fun. It is also light on content and grindy. I personally felt the mechanics were fun enough to not mind the grind. With its price being rather low even compared to other cheap games in the genre, it's easy to recommend this to anyone looking for a challenging action roguelite.
