No revenue estimate for the App Store: Apple publishes no install counts, and its star-rating counts don't calibrate to sales the way Steam's written reviews do. Reviews and prices only.
internet – or online with friends and other players. MAU! – AND CATCH THE BOTS Playing your second-to-last card? Tap “Mau!”. Forget it and you draw two cards. But the bots aren't perfect either: sometimes they forget their “Mau” – tap the button in time and the bot has to draw two cards. Prefer a relaxed game? Set the call to “Automatically” or switch it off. WHAT YOU GET • Mau Mau against bots – offline, no internet needed • Story adventure with characters and quests • Online mode with friends and other players • Six rule sets: Mau-Mau, Czech Prší, Dutch Pesten, Polish Makao, Crazy Eights-style “8 américain / Ocho loco” and the Russian variant “101” • Your own house rules: switch special cards on and off • Daily and weekly rewards • Lots of card decks and game tables • 36 or 52 cards, 3 to 8 cards in hand, 2 to 4 players THE RULES On the face-up card you play a card of the same suit or the same rank. If you can't, you draw a card. If that one doesn't fit either, the next player goes. • 7 – the next player draws 2 cards and skips a turn. Play your own 7 to pass it on – the penalty cards add up • 8 – the next player skips a turn • Jack – you choose the suit. A Jack can be played on any card except another Jack The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round. Everyone else counts the cards left in hand as penalty points: Jack 20, Ace 11, Ten 10, King 4, Queen 3, Nine 0, all other cards at face value. Go over 101 points and you're out – the last player standing wins. YOUR HOUSE RULES Everyone plays Mau Mau a little differently. In the settings you can add more special cards – such as the Ace, Six, Ten or King of Spades – or switch to Prší, Pesten, Makao or “101” altogether. ONLINE Online games are currently played by the rules of the “101” variant (the Queen chooses the suit, after an 8 you play again). The Mau-Mau rules and the Mau button are available in games against the bots. If someone leaves an online game, a bot takes their seat. That way every round is played to the end and everyone gets their rewards. Missing your house rule? Write to us at support@elvista.net – we'll add it as a setting!
