Master Pyrox Wizard Smackdown

If you like games similar to Wand Wars, you'll like this one. Game is pretty straightforward, the trailer shows you everything there is to see. Haven't tried the multiplayer, so I don't know if there is a playerbase or not, but single player is proving adequate, with a variety of game types. You can even pit the AI against itself and just watch them have at it, and the ability to name your opponents is a nice touch; I would however like to see more customization options and colors, as there aren't a lot of wizard types to choose from. And of course, there is a level editor if you want to make your own maps, which is pretty cool. The only complaint I have is that it is easy to forget that the portal effect while a fireball is being summoned can kill you; I think it would be better if this were not the case. Other than that they did a great job, and I got exactly what I expected!

感觉非常烂的上帝视角动作游戏 主打多人对战，但因为极其糟糕的战斗设计，玩起来非常难受，明明角色外形是个法师，但竟然只能抡棍子，而且还基本砸不死人，只能把人砸倒 真正造成伤害的还是场景里刷新出来的火球，虽然你能考攻击反弹这些火球，但大多数的时候你根本就打不打，只是在自寻死路罢了 游戏里除了棍子外算是给了你一个法术，但让人无法理解的是，这招式竟然一条命只能放一次，要是那种全屏攻击的技能也就算了，但大多数却是那种高施法时间，但没有伤害的辣鸡法术，比如浓雾、比如喷水，唯一个能伤人的炸弹，丢下来后还要好几秒钟的时间才爆炸 游戏有三种模式 第一种，乱斗，选择一定数量的玩家，支持AI，每轮最后一个生存的玩家得一分，整场游戏死的基本上都是自己作死撞火球的， 第二种，BOSS战，简直是自虐，BOSS碰你一下就是一条命，而你棍子打上去没伤害，大招一条命才一次还打不中，你想反弹火球基本上就是慢性自杀 第三种，自由模式，更傻，一个人在地图里面练自杀

Lovely little game made by Mr "Sox" Brooker. Run around with friends and/or bots, trying to kill them by means of mischivious gameplay with a few spells, etc that make it fast paced, unpredictable, but fun and that's just in the tournament mode. Boss mode, pits your skill against a level boss, trying to react and defeat them in a nice little solo mode. Look forward to seeing what else is brought to the game, with new maps and content.

try and kill other wizards by hitting them with a stick or hitting a ball of fire at them with a stick, thats about it. kinda fun but not much content, it makes me wonder how much gameplay is in the demo.

Master Pyrox Wizard Smackdown is a fun arcade multiplayer game, where players compete against each other to be the last wizard standing. It's very well executed and a lot of fun playing with friends in couch multiplayer, which is facilitated by the simple control scheme: you can easily put two players on the keyboard, one on the mouse and one or more with gamepads. I've been playtesting the game before its release and I can guarantee that it's well polished and virtually bug free - so eventually, it all boils down for you to trying the free demo and see if that's something you would have fun playing :) Also, first class Linux support from Denis Comtesse, as expected from a Linux game developer!

A very entertaining game, ideal to challenge with friends. The goal is simple: to be the only survivor. In this war of magicians you can choose and customize your character and choose a type of magic before starting the game. It has some really beautiful effects, like the reflection in the ice or the magic. Crazy cane blows between magicians. Recommended.  

The concept is interesting, but the interface is not very controller friendly and the controls don't feel good to me. There seems to be a delay to do anything, and hitting someone makes you freeze in place, so it can be risky. It's also hard to time your wand to hit the ball things. Definitely could be improved and recommended but at this point it feels like a beta.
