Love this game more than all DR games and I'm not even joking, was definetly worth it
Rain Code Plus? More like Pain Cope Peak! (Play this game rn)
Despite me somehow managing to guess literally every major plot point and culprit for crimes, it didn't ruin any of the fun or mystery to the game. Glad I got around to playing it! Def 9/10 title.
Another one of those times I wish Steam had a more neutral rating instead of just plain yes or no. The thing about rain code is I think the actual stories are solid but the implementation of the mystery gameplay was just...not fun for me. So many quick time events and I focused much more on those aspects than the actual mystery. Not that the mystery was that hard, but I also felt like the game held your hand a bit too much. Sometimes when I got it wrong, it was more because of misunderstanding wordings and stuff like that, which is well, smth I'm used to in these types of games. But it sucks more when you lose hp because your hand eye coordination sucks which would feel ok in an action game, but not so much in a detective game... I think aitsf did better with stranger mechanics and a number of quick time events. I think it still ultimately made you focus more on the actual mystery and story compared to rain code. I do think I'm biased though because I don't like Shinigami-chan at all and she hampered a lot of my enjoyment of the game. I just wanted her to shut up but since she's the companion, you really couldn't do anything about it. Idk, some parts I liked but there were more parts I found annoying overall and by the end I struggled to finish the game. No wiki gave all the info I wanted tho so I just finished it myself to get it. That's why I still think the story itself is good, but yeah mechanics and companion just took a lot of the fun out of it for me
