Don't buy, yes there is a game here, but nowhere near the game that was promised. Now is, as admitted by the dev, abandonware, so that they can make a whole new game. Silence for literally 2 years before the announcement, closed off Discord to prevent hate and stop updates (if any) from being public. If a new game comes out, do not buy into it before AN ACTUAL GAME IS OUT, and maybe wait for the dev to be a little more transparent with development. If you like blacksmithing in VR, yes this is a good game, only because it is the ONLY game of its kind, with the actual blacksmithing locked behind a literal idle game for metals, and a conveyer belt mini game for gold, you will have to grind ALOT to make anything even remotely cool, or get anywhere close to what the game currently has to offer.

Do not recommend. After activating the out of body feature error and game crashes. LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 198] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device beeing lost.[Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG'] Unfortunately it even corrupted my save file. Tested in new game, same. Contacted developer 3 times (08.08.2024, 25.08.2024 and 06.09.2024) no response. Tried to get a refund, unfortunately rejected.
Sure love being promised more then being told the early access is in fact the final product
Dev abandoned the game. It's a cool concept and could have been so much more.

Pretty fun, rough around the edges, but fun. The issue being that the potential is wasted by the fact that the dev has abandoned any updates.
Master Bladesmith is such an unique game for what is offers. Smithing swords, fletching bows, using said swords and bows in a gauntlet is alot of fun. Challenging too. It can get very grindy and its hardly a fun combo if you are standing up straight in VR waiting for the mines to generate gems for even more smithing. I can safely say I enjoyed it and it's a shame that it's still too buggy to truly shine, but that will sadly not get fixed. This is why I leave a negative review. If you think you can handle the bugginess the game offers, then it's worth picking up on a sale. 70% off or more maybe. The most interesting part about the game (as you can read from other negative reviews) is about the dev essentially giving up halfway on the game's development. While the game remained in early access, the dev decided to instead work on another game instead of fully developing this one, as stated in the latest steam post by them. This next game, with no doubt in my mind, will also be released in early access, and can easily be abandoned the same way this game was. I don't wish to pre-emptively leave a negative review on a game that doesn't exist yet, this is simply a cautionary warning for people who wish to see more of this dev's work.
Not trusting the devs to finish "the next game" if they're so prone to abandon them
It may be abandoned, but there is still dozens of hours of progression and hundreds of hours of ♥♥♥♥ to do
