Mass Effect is an action RPG from Bioware that kicked off the Mass Effect series. The storytelling and characters are extremely well done, and decisions that you make have a big impact on the story and your relationships with the other characters. This entry in the series is also available as part of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition here on Steam.

This game imo is the best ME for pure theme'ing and for its RPG system. While ME2 and 3 are more accessible. Nothing lets you quite make a build like the classic ME1. Plus that darksynth? While something like ME2 Afterlife is some good darksynth. This game goes beyond in it. It truly is the most "Mass Effect" of the games. The only thing it hurts in is character personality, which can be forgiven as its the first title of a 2006 game.

Very good game but unfortunately because it is old it has many bugs that make it completely incompatible with the hardware, every 10 minutes we have to look for an addon or a solution to a new problem. Totally unplayable.

One of the best games off all times but sometimes it is very hard to pass levels. The mass effect 3 is also good but 2 has a special spirit. 7.5 / 10. Later productiions of this series couldn’t do much progress but repetition with better graphics. In general, the game industry goes down in the perspective of creativity, everything else going up like fps, 4k graphics etc. Only couple of companies lead like Rockstar. I wish we could see more games like lucas art games for instance. 90s were different in all senses

Excellent science fiction RPG. I don't really know what else to say about it. Some people think the combat in this game is the series at its lowest point, and that it is very clunky. I'd argue it's the high point.
