I love the MC she's independent, opinionated and she believes in justice then, later on, real love. Not the fairy tale kind of love that can bog down a story, but real, lets see what these two people are made of, when they're apart and when they're together, love. Interspersed with plenty of passion, sensual pleasure, and desire. Can't believe 8 hours went so fast in one day, but loving the story that I'm still making my journey through.
I think this is one of the better if not best voltage title. I've played almost all of them on my phone and I'm now just going through the steam titles. I really like how this one is a bit more mature in nature not just in romance but also in the plot. I get a bit tired of the misunderstanding or school/office trope which voltage seems to love. This one was far more interesting and not significantly more mature in romance but enough that I thought it was far more up my alley as a young adult. I played through all the routes and some stories I found better than others but maybe it was just my taste. I really ended up liking Kei's story which I wasn't even going to play and thought was going to be my least favorite. There was a lot of trauma there I didn't expect. my ranking: Kei - s&m is not my thing but this man got deep trauma wow this one hit deep Boss - this was a real slow burn and honestly I think the art/illustrations are the best for him Kazuomi - I wanted to like kazuomi and I do but he can be a bit hot and cold Yuzuru - he felt the MOST cold and unable to compromise and i just couldn't bear the winter im sorry Some stories were better in their second season (The Boss) where as some I fell off when I hit season 2 (Kazumoi). Ultimately though I love how these games have multiple seasons with all the characters, they don't leave you high and dry after getting with your partner which I find most otome's do and I hate. I actually really don't like the Misguided Love -Restart- segments between Season 1 & 2. I find them to be so obviously filler and too long but I don't want to complain about getting more content. But with Kazuomi's story by the time I got to season 2 I was fighting through it. The Boss was one of my favorite story and I was reaaally struggling through season one especially since
he's so hot and cold and when you see his POV he literally tells u he's manipulating the MC through almost all of the season
But then I really ended up liking season 2 watching him crack like good crème brûlée. I LOVE the POV's from the male's perspective, they are always my favorite part. I don't know what that says about me. MC is way more independent/strong and less of a 'damsel in distress' in this one but her competency level very much depends on the person you are dating which I don't know how I feel about that. The MC felt the most competent as an agent in the Boss's or Kei's route, least competent in Kazumoi. They tried to give the MC a distinctive personality in this one which I really liked but then some parts of her personality changed depending on the story you were playing. That was also true for the Boss however as I felt he was kinder in his story than any of the other ones and his motives were far more pure. The translation and writing in this game also feels a bit more polished and less like a wattpad fan-fiction than some of their earlier titles. 9/10
