First, thanks to the dev for creating a Sniper VR game. I'm giving it a thumbs up, because they deserve it. They clearly state that they are a small group and that it's in the very early access and need our help to make their game better. The game has a lot of potential and even maybe some DLC in the future and even maybe a campain like. In all the FPS i've played, when there's a sniper available, you can be sure it stays in my inventory :) I have been a fan of being a sniper since the early beta release of Counter-Strike before it was on steam. I'm using an RTX 4070Ti Super with Virtual Desktop AV1 10-bit, VDXR runtime, with dedicated router WIFI 6E at 10 ft from the Quest 3 helmet. Settings was put on HIGH auto. The game runs smooth, but it is very shaky like if you have a cam in one hand and you are running or riding a bike and hitting bumps rapidly. Here is what I noticed so far from my perspective. First, when I started the game I had to choose a slot for the game and had to choose Load for the game to start (didn't see anything like start game) First, I didn't find a menu to Exit the game by pressing all the buttons. Maybe there is one. Second, when the game starts, if you want to ajuste the graphics settings or the settings in general, you need to walk all the way down on the opposite side of were you spawn. In settings, mouvement settings and accessibility settings are unavailable to click. There is no directive on where to go or what to do first, need to know your way around VR FPS to figure things out. The board where there's all the directive and info, you need to be very close to activate the voice that reads it. sometimes to close to be able to read confortably while listening to the voice. The board where you can buy and equip snipers, last Sniper rifle silver v 20-77 is not showing. After reaching the last sniper available there is still flashing arrows pointing to the right, but it doesn't go further. You have two scopes choice on the board. I didn't find it clear that the lower section (scopes) is probably for upgrades and the upper section (scopes) is for buying the base scope. Things that can be interected with doesn't show or it's not obvious that you can do something with it. Environement, I couldn't interect with anything (bottles, boxes, pencils and other stuff) Even the Cheeseburger box didn't have any food left ;) When I grab the sniper in my hand and hold it like other weapons in other games, it auto point at the sky. I then grab the front to pull down the sniper to aim, I keep it straight, then if I release the grab from the front the sniper goes straight pointing at the sky. First sniper, looks nice, but simple whit not much of details. If you go in the shooting range before you buy and equip a sniper, you are welcome with a couple of different clips with different ammo but no sniper to shoot with. If it's like a tutorial, it would be nice to have only the ammo needed for the only sniper available for a start and add different ammo when different weapons become available. Once you buy and equip a sniper, it gets put on the wall in the shooting range (was not obvious to notice on the wall) first I tried to take it from my shoulder and it wasn't there :). You can't put the sniper back on the wall or put it on your shoulder, it goes on the ground. If I drop my weapon on the ground, I have to physicly go grab it on the floor. Recharging the sniper doesn't feel natural and it's hard to figure out how the first time. The sound that the M1 makes sounds like a little 22 caliber. It doesn't make it like it's a WOW impact. Aiming down sight is very nice, I like it and it's smooth and easy to aim. I noticed that the sniper doesn't have weight to it, it feels a bit weird knowing you have a heavy weapon but feels like a feather. The mission board, the numbers doesn't stand out to make it attractive. There is no name with the numbers. If I click on number 1 for exemple, the menu that pop up stays in the back and the "coming soon" is on top. Ok now time to try mission 1. Started mission, grabed the scope and tried to put it back where it was and couln't put it back on my chess. Dropped it on the ground and eventually goes back to the chess. Looked around, nothing was happening, looked at the garbage on the ground and saw a passage. I went down the little drop and there was no way to go back up on the other side or from the way I dropped down. I couln't find any button that would make me jump. I looked at the watch that is under the wrist for the menu and I had to completely twist my wrist to see what was written in the pop up. I will wait for the next update and do more testing. Good work devs, I'll keep testing :)
Horrible already. Screen shakes to damn much. Janky performance and cluttery. Not very clear on where to even find a rifle in the first place. Had to figure ♥♥♥♥ out myself just to get it in the firing range.
I load up the game and am immediately greeted by a stuttering mess. Looking through the headset as the world stutters around you when you move your head is nigh migraine inducing. The menus and main lobby are a headache to look at.
The developers know nothing about rifles. The very first gun you get is a semi auto rifle. Yet they treat it as a bolt action. If you decide to not use a scope in the training room, your VR hand blocks the sights. If your into shooting games, just buy Sniper Elite 4, you know the game that has been out for 20 years. This is no better than those sniper games that are free on your cell phones. Even in the first mission, the ground does not even touch the buildings. This is more of an Alpha test for a phone than a steam game.
Super cool game with a lot of potential. You can clearly tell it’s still a work in progress, but that was communicated upfront. As an Early Access title, this feels like a solid bet. The roadmap looks exciting, and I’m definitely sticking with it and rooting for the game. Looking forward to future updates — if the team delivers, this could turn into something really special.
ok first of all wtf where tutrial and why the game is so silent like hedset speakers and in game voliume is maxed but I can bearly hear a ♥♥♥♥. Second of all U are the sniper and u dont have scope even basic one u use iron sight to do the work and with first gun its horible bc ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hand is in your eye like what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on I cant aim with this u dont know where to go how to get in your place gun get randomly stuck while ajusting the "aim" and enemies are so stupid god deam who test that and who agreed to release this game in this state.
The combat feel and weapon techniques are very good. There are some bugs, but I think they'll be fixed since it's in early access. A tutorial would have been nice, but it also gave a bit of a discovery feel. I think it's worth the money.
I wont refund cause i want to support the devs....however people arent wrong that hand has got to move off the sight.. you cant see anything well through the iron sight..... the second board is too dark to use the sight (at least on my headset) also the A.I are really just targets you can walk right up to them no problem Climbing is good but i couldnt get off of the ladder on the second board... took me forever .. that needs a fix too I do however like the setups that are like a mini story... reloading is good... need some way to calibrate a gun stock.... ill sit on it till i see updates
This game is a complete mess in its current condition. Terrible performance. Terrible hand tracking. Rifles make no sense. 0 IQ enemy AI. Just....no.
As Hesh Rabkin once said "Well, I think it's, uh, not good. There's good and there's not good, and this is not good."
