Broken and straight up unplayable for me
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/7FMelfyDHBY This game is so much stupid fun! Reminds me a little bit of Max Payne where you can just slow-time and run in there to take out a bunch of bad guys. I wish I could recommend this game, but i just can't because it runs so bad. On my RTX 3080, I was getting variable frame rates, to as low as 24 FPS on high graphical settings (it would dip to the 40s on medium graphical settings). It's a shame. This is a fun little budget shooter. It has some crazy scenarios like going to the bathroom to find the hidden Uzi in the toilet to then take out all the gangsters, including the mob boss in the toilet. You kill hordes of enemies and then finally get to the top of the stairs, where you face an even bigger mob of enemies. It's crazy. It's dumb. It's fun. Game is running on the Unity Engine. Needs severe optimization. You have full locomotion and smooth turning available. There are graphical settings, but it doesn't matter ... game usually starts at 90 fps, but then starts tanking the more enemies you kill. I didn't test multiplayer so I can't really comment on that. However, with the game running this poorly in single player, I can't imagine it would be any better in multiplayer. I just can't recommend this game, even if it's stupidly fun. It eventually becomes unplayable the further into the levels you get. It's been a while since a game tanked all the way into the low 20s frames per second on my rig. Rate 4.5/10. I only paid $2 USD, so I can't say I was ripped off. Nice attempt by the dev, but optimization is very important, especially when a game runs this poorly. I would otherwise have recommended this game.
If you enjoyed my review, please consider joining my Steam Curator Group. Absolutely disgusting! game doesnt work, seeing about 10-15 pixels through vr headset. remove this from selling refunded and reported
you will fix the bugs and you will make guns not clip into the floor and the game will be very cool and fun all the destruction feels good, the enemies dying feel fun, the gunplay while super glitchy can be polished and fixed it's all there, now fix this mess into a great title!!!
I have never played a vr game in my entire life that I would describe as "Poor controls" And I don't mean the physics interaction with the grip button either. I mean the simple act of moving your character felt off in an indescribable way, the menu for changing the controls was convoluted and all combinations didn't fix the fact holding forward on the movement stick sent me backwards 40% of the time. To host a lobby with your friend you have to put a floppy disk on the desk into a computer. I went to pick it up, and it promptly dissapeared. No where to be seen. At least you can circumvent it by inviting your friend in the virtual desktop through steam's friend message menu. The turn rate is capped at a very slow speed, the first (and only level) i played had me doing 180s in a stair case where the bad guys got more than 3 seconds of free shooting on me while I was attempting to turn around, smooth turning on and off didn't fix this. I think if you're going to release such a clearly unfinished game there wouldn't be such a weird intro with free TTS voice that further reduced my patience for this taped together game. The only people who are going to be happy with this is those looking for a uniquely poorly put together experience, I saw another reviewer aliken it to goat simulator. I feel like that game embraced it's poor controls better, this one seems like someone saw bonework's take on VR with a model inhabiting the enviroment and decided to release the earliest version they could churn out.
the game is pretty nice
This is exactally what i would imagine if the developers from BONEWORKS made a game in less then 20 minutes. Its ♥♥♥♥. it feels like i am actually playing on nintendo wii.
I don't remember this game much exept when I played this with a friend and made a deez nuts joke and stopped playing.
Fun but i lag alot
