Has an easily failable tutorial that results in an instant gameover forcing you to go through all the long unskipable dialog again. After failing it twice due to a poor explanation of the game mechanics I don't have the patience to sit through all the dialog a third time. The game seems to have promise and I'm excited to try it again when these issues are fixed. Until then I can't recommend it. I look forward to changing this review to a thumbs up in the future.
Would have been fun to explore. Game is just a stressful grind. Beat in 2 hours. Pass.
Game seems to be pretty good so far, just have to figure out how to make 35000 coins in 20 days. A task which seems almost impossible. Edit: I have changed my recommendation for this game as the dev's have not added any updates to the game since release nor have I seen any mention of plans to update. I do not recommend buying this game at this point in time, wait until there is more content or until the devs show they are actively working on the game.

Early Access review of Version 0.5 A fun little game, I lost it in less than 3 hours! I wouldn't say it's worth the full five bucks yet, but it easily could be [worth more than that] by the time it gets to v1. Seems to be updated about once a month, most of the complaints in the other posts are no longer applicable. It's not perfect, duh, it's not even v1 yet. I do plan to head over to the Discussions next to express some of my ideas on how to improve it. I guess everyone likes a procon list, so I'll try one. This is based only on my first playthrough. Pros: -Silly characters -Dolphins that aren't bottle-nose dolphins -Serious plotline -Intuitive control -Real kinds of fish! -Nice graphics! Cons: -I have no idea how many fish this boat can hold -The controls take getting used to after Windward & Sunless Sea -Bob thinks Mackerel are all over the place -Jack wanted a fish that I never found any of -Some dialogs (Inn especially) get rather tiresome. Just give me my options already okay?!!?! (there is a key to make this go faster, but clicking constantly is not fun either.) I guess that's it. I last played yesterday, & so I've slept & worked since then. ETA: I've played a second time now, & almost made 5000 in time. I'm finding that to be more discouraging than the horrible fail of my first playthrough. Here's the insight I've gained: - Playing with a PlayStation2 controller on an adapter works, but you'll still need the mouse to see the map. - When controlling the boat with your mouse, (Trackball in my case,) don't just left-click, left-hold. But be careful, you'll stop where the cursor last was, not where the boat was when you released the button. I love this control system.
The game is all about fishing and running your own boat for sure. There are multiple types of nets and fish and fishing areas to be had so its not just the same all over the map. There is some definite strategy needed if you want to succeed at this game. My youngest loves fishing games but this one is more like temple run in that you can't just be casual about fishing at the start because you need 5000 by day 20 and then 35000 by the next day 20. I had about 10 various nets going around an island and I couldn't break 10,000 thanks to my characters needing to sleep so much. You really only have about 7 days when you take out the 8 hours they need to sleep each day or pass out at the helm (yah!) I suppose if I played this enough times I would get good at it but after failing twice now I think I will just move on to something else. I've played other debt payback games and have not figured out how to make the best bang for my buck and time in this one. Maybe hints or character dialog could give some pointers to new players? Overall a good strategy game though.
I'm having lots of fun with this game. Its a new take on fishing that i feel is fresh and fun in a world of sport fishing games. I enjoy the big business feel of the game while it still maintains a small time charming feel. The way you have to make a rout in your head for the boat to follow or risk running out out stamina is really fun although i do Wish there was some sort of option to sleep at sea for a lesser stamina reward. Maybe 3/4 instead of full. The variety of fish is fun and the risk of a dolphin or seal getting caught in your net makes you pay attention to each new catch. I do find there is too much clicking in the menu's for repetitive things. For example I feel that the game play could be significantly improved by changing small things such as simply having the sleep and pay buttons at the Inn combined. Instead of having to click sleep and then click to pay 5 coins every night you could just click sleep and it would auto charge the 5 without making you click a second time. Same thing goes for the store. I would love to have a sell option on the main store page instead of having to click the store then click shop then click sell, its unnecessary and makes the menus feel a little clunky.
» TEST | https://game-guide.fr/222252-marinatide-larguez-les-amarres/
