In [i]Maple and Rufus: The Water Robbery[/i] you play through a series of puzzles to uncover who is stealing the water from Pumpkin Hollow. [h3]Gameplay & Features[/h3] This is a point-and-click adventure that is played solely with your mouse. The settings are very basic with just audio controls and fullscreen or windowed mode. The game play is very simple, it is puzzles that for the most part provide some challenge but are not difficult to the point of frustrating. A lot of them are just figuring out the right code. All achievements are earnable in game with only one play-through needed. [h3]Overall Experience[/h3] This game graphically looks like it is more for a younger crowd but the puzzles can be challenging. You can switch back and forth between Maple and Rufus by clicking on them as the main character. Maple being a cat has excellent eyesight while Rufus has a keen sense of smell. To use their abilities just click on their eyes or nose depending on which character you are using. A pretty okay little escape room style title. Definitely very short (45 Minutes - 1 Hour) but the puzzles themselves were super rewarding to figure out. My only complaint was that it took me way too long to realize there was a mechanic to click on each characters notepad to activate their abilities (Better Sight/Better Smell). This mechanic didn't pop up much, but it is absolutely vital at times. Beyond that, it's a few tricky puzzles and a cute story. If you're in the market for that, then this is a decent buy overall.

It was a great game, with great soundtrack. If you know your way around escape rooms you will finish quickly.

Some of the puzzles were easier than expected, and I spent way longer on them than needed because I was trying to make them too complex :) It was short and adorable and I would happily play more.

I don't know whether to recommend this game or not, it feels too short and honestly there isn't much story. The puzzle are ok, some of them are fun but some of them can be a bit obscure for me (or maybe I'm too stupid?) I guess it is a good game to play with a child, but I think the puzzles are not that easy for a younger person? so I'm not sure who this game is made for hahaa There is not much else entertaining in the game other than the puzzles, the characters are just there without any personality to speak of, and there's not much dialogue either, and the ending is like....ok....is that it...? I'd recommend getting it on sale, but keep in mind if you are a super genius maybe you'd be done with the game in like 10 minutes or so

Short and sweet! I really liked this little puzzle/mystery game. The game mechanics when swapping between the detectives were really clever actually, and I enjoyed that everything was achievable with a little brain power, nothing was too convoluted (in my opinion). My only slight gripe was [spoiler] that the list of suspects was solvable in one swift hit once you found the note, whereby the location needed information from different puzzles/rooms around the house which took more time and felt like I earned it more [/spoiler], genuinely a super minor critique, it was a cute little game!
